Despite repeated increases in the National Living Wage, soaring housing and living costs have largely swallowed workers’ gains, leaving the deeper structural issues unchanged and Britain's persistent wealth divide worsening every year. Read my article: open.substack.com/pub/sadrabbit/…

Anyone in the US, UK, EU administrations interested in international law? Didn't think so. "The top UN court has ruled that Israel’s settlement policies and use of natural resources in the occupied Palestinian territories violate international law." theguardian.com/world/article/…

In Japan, "Johatsu" refers to people who disappear due to pressures like failed marriages, debt, and job loss. They abandon their lives and live anonymously off the grid. Specialized companies, called "night movers," assist them in vanishing completely.

During 2022 and 2023, Pharma and healthcare companies paid NIAID $690 million in royalties. Besides Pfizer, Merck, and Moderna (which paid a separate $400 million) two of the top pharma companies paying NIAID were owned by the Chinese government. In prior years, NIAID received about $2 million per year in royalties. COVID produced a massive haul for Fauci’s agency. But the names of many at the agency who received the money remain redacted. Even getting this much information required two FOIA lawsuits filed by Open the Books and Judicial Watch. America’s public health agencies are corrupt. How can we trust them when they profit from the products they promote (and mandate)? As President, I will clean up the corruption in Washington, and flip the program to bring back real health care. #KennedyShanahan24

Jeffrey Sachs on @TuckerCarlson. One truth bomb after another. "So, unprovoked? Not exactly. 30 years of provocation, where we could not take peace for an answer … Millions of people have died in American wars of choice … but … come on we're talking about who runs the world... This has nothing to do with morality, nothing do with Western Values, it has nothing to do with American Values. It doesn't even have to do with American interests from what I can see, although they say that American interests are at stake … "What, we've spent maybe $7 trillion on these reckless perpetual wars since 2001, is that really — we've added to the debt — the debt's gone from about 30% of national income to more than 100% of national income. We've had these disastrous wars. Is this America's interests? No. I mean, maybe we could have actually rebuilt a bridge or a road along the way, or even add a mile of fast rail in our country or something. But no, we had to spend trillions and trillions on wars. So to my mind it's all completely perverse."
Tucker Carlson@TuckerCarlson

Jeffrey Sachs with probably the smartest and most accurate assessment of the Ukraine war, and American foreign policy more broadly, ever caught on tape. (20:17) Why did America push for Ukraine to Join NATO? (58:34) What is a Neocon? (1:25:28) Regime Change Never Works (1:36:27) Who Blew up the Nord Stream Pipeline? (2:01:45) COVID Origins
