News is out! I am the 2023 recipient of the William Boright Hewitt and Maybelle Ellen Ball Hewitt Award​ from the American Phytopathological Society -@plantdisease ! This award recognizes a scientist within seven​ years of receiving a PhD who has made an outstanding and ​innovative contribution directed towards the control of plant disease. So many people I have to thank for this! So many institutions that fostered my passion for science and plant pathology in Cuba, Mexico, USA, Canada and Quebec! I have to specially thank Mauricio Luna, Chrystel Olivier and @DumonceauxTim ! Thank you for the freedom and trust! You made me love science again! Thank to @PetaBS for giving me the opportunity of discovering clubroot, that changed my life!
