@ChrisVon43 @4SecondFootball @TweetsbyCoachP We always asked the question… “They are in the portal for a reason, what is that reason?” If the kid says, “the coaches didn’t give me a chance”, that is usually a cop out excuse for not being able to beat out the guys at your position. Red flag all the way.

From a D1 Head Coach today in a text… “I’m not worried about making friends or if parents think it’s fair. I won’t risk my job or livelihood on a player that isn’t what I think they need to be to play at this level or that has parents who are always running their mouths with negative things to say. Parents always say their kid just needs a chance. We can’t just give chances, it doesn’t work that way. It doesn’t matter how hard they’ve worked or how good they are as students if they can’t get here and help us win and handle business I won’t recruit them. If their parents are always bashing coaches I won’t recruit them either. Like it or don’t like it. I’ve been successful this way and won’t change”. I’m not telling you what to think of this but I am telling you he told me I could share it and do with it what you will.
