I don’t have the bandwidth to start a fund since I have a startup I’m scaling and my consulting/advisory work. BUT I spend every waking hour working with some of the fastest growing and largest legacy brands, the insight that comes from this is very unique. I’ve also spent the last decade as an early employee at Shopify, running brands, helping start brands, guiding brands to scale or exit opportunities, advising some of the top companies in the Shopify ecosystem (including a few 🦄), building my own SaaS startups and also just being an avid consumer which is my excuse for all the retail therapy I prescribe myself 😆

Over the last (almost) decade I’ve worked with a bunch of funds to help with ecommerce, retail enablement and everything in between. I’ve been hesitant to formally align with a single fund because not every deal aligns with vision and it’s always good to have options. The problem is this also means I’ve had less involvement or feedback on certain deals that I have valuable insight/guidance on. While I plan to continue investing personally consider this me throwing my hat in the ring if you’re part of a mid-large size fund looking for guidance and deal flow on businesses in the retail-ecommerce sector.

We’re pushing MER @trelliscommerce , what’s the KPI for you that “matters the most”? I feel like some brands have quite unique niche KPIs we should be exploring, maybe “revenue per page visit?” @JasonPanzer
