@wepcorp @Owishemwe In my opinion, I don't think they target any particular tribe. It's any Ugandan who shows any independent promise. The mafias usually approach such people and want to run business through them. On refusal is when they get disgruntled and look for ways to fail the individual.

If a bank sells your property without disclosing to you a valuation report and giving you chance to source for an independent Valuer, you can challenge this illegal sale. It is at this point where they act fraudulent. Always ask for this report. It usually has irregularities.

It's only frowned upon when there is talk of giving a villager money. People have to eat everyday.

Even western gov'ts occasionally wire cash to citizens. A tarmac road through a village is not a guarantee of economic prosperity as we have witnessed several times.

Kigali, Rwanda is now only second to Cape Town, South Africa in hosting most international events on the African continent.......and it is by design. They only invested in infrastructure and security. They rest is history.

@Dachronica Eventually the Ugandan authorities will indeed realise they have mortgaged alot against a western interest hellbent on keeping the status quo and then that's the breaking point. Possibly a decision to either launch a full scale war or annexion to guarantee Uganda's security.

@Dachronica Best thing that will ever happen for Eastern Congolese is to get autonomy. Ug security can only do so much to mitigate the ever expanding insecurity lest they are accused by the mineral beneficiaries(western powers) of attempting to annex Ituri province.

The absence of state authority across DRC as a country, utterly incompetent, tribalistic and corrupt DRC security apparatus have opened a door to the gate of bloody jihadism in Region— to the level, ISIS-linked terrorists, ADF indoctrinate entire village uninterruptedly. The current regime in Kinshasa has all money in the world to invest in uprooting its minority groups, by arming armed groups and recruiting mercenaries but it has no one courageous enough to fight ADF, a group that killed over 1300 Congolese civilians last year, and that have killed over 500 this year already— and still killing . The pathetic leniency of Uganda security strategists who hesitate to advocate for real institutional reform in Congo as one way of countering terrorism at its border, and content themselves with dwindling attrition ops will become costly in the future, once they realized they mortgaged a lot, floundering in what they call zone of influence. — unless, the end game is a forever-war. There is no way unmanageable DRC as it is since its inception will cease to be a cesspool of armed groups, let alone ISIS. DRC elites rarely care what’s really going on, provided that it doesn’t affect their ability to enrich themselves.

The poor healthcare and services in Mbarara is pushing them back. After 40 years, Mbarara should have become Uganda’s second largest city, but its growth has been hindered by a lack of assimilation. The Ganda were not naïve in allowing the Dinka and Rwandese to settle—those communities brought qualities and resources the Ganda themselves lacked. Even today, it remains difficult for non-Westerners to purchase land...
