Last week, I was humbled to be recognised and honoured for my work last year to support the Coronation of HM King Charles III, when I was presented with a King Charles III Coronation Medal. It acts as a thank you gift for those who made the historic event happen.

As Head of His Majesty’s Diplomatic Service and on behalf of all colleagues in the @FCDOGovUK, we wish His Majesty a full and speedy recovery. Messages have come in from around the world wishing him a return to full health. Our thoughts and prayers are with the King.

@CScottFCDO @UKinIndia We have fond memories of serving in New Delhi with @UKinIndia from 2000-2004 and the Gurkha guard force are an integral part of that family. Best wishes for a blessed retirement....

The conversion of the @FCDOGovUK Quadrangle in London from a car park into an attractive landscaped garden has been a triumph. As I wrote yesterday, I'm not the biggest fan of autumn. But I love the cosy yellow glow of the lights at twilight.
