Since 1979, the Iranian government has called for the destruction of the United States and Israel, and it remains the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism, funding Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and others.    A nuclear Iran is a serious threat to Americans and our democratic ally, Israel. Operation Midnight Hammer succeeded in setting back that effort, and I’m grateful to the U.S. service members involved in the operation.    It's deeply troubling that only Republican lawmakers were briefed before the operation. As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, I will be briefed on the details of this operation and will request the intelligence that justified the operation. National security is not a red or blue issue, it’s an American issue.   The world is safer with the degradation of Iran's nuclear capabilities and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported there are undeclared nuclear material and activities in Iran. For decades, Iran has been expanding its nuclear capabilities, its ballistic missile program, and funded terrorism that’s dangerous to American security.    We must weigh the long-term implications of this action and the possibility that it could lead us into an avoidable war. Only Congress has the power to declare war and I encourage further diplomatic negotiations to de-escalate this conflict.

My statement on the U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities⬇️

I am grateful to the brave service members who carried out the recent strikes against Iranian military sites. Iran must never be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon. There will be no lasting stability in the Middle East as long as the regime continues to fund extremist groups and pursue the destruction of the United Stares and Israel. I am praying for the innocent civilians in the region, as well as for our service members deployed abroad.

I have long supported the goal of stopping Iran from getting nuclear weapons to use against Israel, the U.S. or our allies. The airstrikes ordered last night hopefully achieved that goal. This action triggers the War Powers Act and requires the consultation and approval of Congress for further military action.

The #1 sponsor of terrorism that chants “Death to America” can never have a nuclear weapon. And now they don’t.

Americans OVERWHELMINGLY support stopping the Iran terror regime from getting nuclear weapons. 👏👏👏

The world can achieve peace in the Middle East, or it can accept a rogue nuclear weapons program—but it cannot have both. The decisive destruction of the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant prevents the dangerous spread of nuclear weapons in the world’s most combustible region. No one truly committed to nuclear nonproliferation should mourn the fall of Fordow.

In Israel, the first and second intifadas, were terrorist attacks to kill Jews over a sustained period. “Globalize the intifada” is not “subject to interpretation,” it is wrong, dangerous and deadly. This is disqualifying and must be stopped.

State Sen. Sam Sutton publishes video while in a bomb shelter in Jerusalem, urging Jewish voters to vote early for Cuomo to stop Mamdani. “We don't want to be a situation like this in America.” Sutton claims Mamdani “doesn't believe the Jewish state has a right to exist.”
