@Richard_Vixen That’s not the proper way to interpret that. Wanting something doesn’t mean entitlement to something. At all, actuallly.

If men can cum and walk away with zero consequences, women should be able to abort and do the same. You don’t get to leave your DNA in someone’s body and then demand they carry the consequences for 9 months + 18 years....

If you believe in God, then supernatural occurrences aren’t silly or fertile ground for mockery. If you don’t believe in God, then it’s probably more intellectually honest to consider the details as metaphors or similar literary devices. To say “Talking donkey!?! You’re all dummies!” Is to fail to consider the message in its entirety. No Christian encounters someone mocking the supernatural details of the Bible as if that person “figured something out”

You’re born onto a planet you never asked to exist on… and society immediately hits you with: “Okay, now go earn the right to eat, sleep, rest, and have shelter.” Like… zoom out for a second. We’re floating on a rock in infinite space and we created a game where you have to spend most of your life working just to not starve or freeze to death. The whole concept is actually insane when you think about it.

@micsolana @TheAtlantic @JeffreyGoldberg @thomaschattwill Yes I’ve said elsewhere… My issue with the race swapping is two fold: it’s almost exclusively in one direction; but more importantly, it’s the explicit product of a concerted ideological project to diminish the cultural influence of white people. It’s just racism.

@shesbonky You're overselling with all those adjectives. Now we know your opinion isn't based upon beauty standards, but politics. Imagine being so politically fragile that you have to lie about what you find attractive so you can signal your allegiance? Yuck!

@hell_line0 Abortion is not murder because the courts don't interpret this particular type of "homicide" as "murder." It's not "not murder" because the victim is "not a person." Of course it's a person! What do you think it is? A fish? Where the person's located doesn't affect its personhood

Interesting. Grok's take: Summary of the Entire Exchange The conversation began with Jason critiquing a common atheist rhetorical stance (burden of proof + meme dismissing theism as "magic" vs. "nothing") as intellectually unserious. Neil challenged the generalization. What followed was a rapid degeneration: Jason tried to use Neil's responses as a live case study. Neil interpreted this as condescension and doubling down on arrogance. They talked past each other on key issues: whether "most atheists" engage evidence seriously, what constitutes proper skepticism vs. incuriosity, and who was misrepresenting whom. No substantive discussion of actual evidence for/against God occurred. Instead, it became a meta-argument about attitudes, assumptions, and who was "winning." Neil eventually disengaged, calling it futile ("talking to a brick wall"). Overall Assessment: This is a fairly typical online theism-atheism exchange. Jason raised a legitimate epistemological point about how evidence is weighed (one worth serious consideration in philosophy of religion), but framed it in a way that invited defensiveness. Neil responded defensively and personally rather than probing Jason's actual claim or the underlying cosmology question in the meme. Both showed some rigidity, and productive dialogue collapsed under mutual frustration and perceived disrespect. Neither side advanced the God-existence debate meaningfully.

@Ne_chloropterus @athiestboi I said “most atheists”. Not “all.” That’s not arrogant - that is my sincere impression after engaging with many atheists. All these posts back and forth later and you still think you understand me and my point without actually grappling with a single thing I actually said.

@Ranting95 @scobo11 @athiestboi Incidentally, there IS a pink elephant in my living room. It holds my wife’s eyeglasses. Even claims that appear obvious or self-evident may not be so easily dispatched of. Atheists often don’t do the hard work befitting wrestling with the biggest, most important questions.

@scobo11 @JasonTheSchmidt @athiestboi Atheists can be lazy. They're not the ones making the claim. If I told you there's a pink elephant in my living room. The default position isn't that there's a pink elephant in my living room until you can prove there isn't.
