Fozia Baloch and her family have been released, and the FIR filed by Karachi police has been set aside by the magistrate. This decision upholds the importance of lawful process and accountability. Gratitude is extended to all who raised their voices and to the legal teams who stood firm in defense of rights and justice.
This moment does not mark an end to the ongoing crisis. Enforced disappearances continue across Balochistan, and several BYC leaders remain imprisoned on disputed charges. The call remains urgent. Ensure their release, uphold the rule of law, and end the cycle of impunity. The struggle will continue until justice is secured and these violations are brought to a halt.

This is the third time I’ve gone to the police station. I told the SHO that I am an eyewitness, that my brother was taken by CTD or the police. But they still didn’t register an FIR or give me any receipt.They just told me to wait until 9 PM for an update.

آج میں پریس کلب گئی مگر وہاں کہا گیا کہ کل یا پرسوں آنا۔ کل پولیس اسٹیشن گئی تو کہا گیا 24 گھنٹے بعد آئیں۔ آج 24 گھنٹے بعد گئی تو کہا گیا کہ SHO موجود نہیں۔
میں صاف الفاظ میں کہتی ہوں، میں خاموش نہیں بیٹھوں گی۔ میں عدالت جاؤں گی اپنے بھائی کے لئے انصاف ڈھونڈنے۔

میری بہن ڈاکٹر ماہ رنگ تقریباً ایک سال سے جیل میں ہیں۔ ان پر قائم مقدمات بے بنیاد ہیں، مگر اس وقت سب سے بڑا مسئلہ ان کی تیزی سے بگڑتی ہوئی صحت ہے۔
چھ ماہ سے وہ شدید تکلیف میں مبتلا تھیں۔ جیل حکام کو بارہا درخواستیں دیں کہ انہیں ڈاکٹر کو دکھایا جائے، مگر کوئی توجہ نہیں دی گئی۔ عدالت میں درخواست کے بعد معائنہ تو ہوا، مگر تجویز کردہ ٹیسٹ بھی وقت پر نہیں کروائے گئے۔ جب حالت بہت زیادہ خراب ہوئی تو انہیں ہسپتال منتقل کیا گیا، جہاں MRI رپورٹ میں ریڑھ کی ہڈی کے سنگین مسائل سامنے آئے (ڈسک کا ابھار، اور اندرونی چوٹ)۔ ڈاکٹروں نے آرام اور باقاعدہ علاج کی ہدایت کی ہے۔
لیکن افسوس کہ آج بھی نہ مکمل علاج فراہم کیا جا رہا ہے اور نہ ہی انہیں ضمانت دی جا رہی ہے۔ ایک سیاسی ورکر جس کا جرم صرف یہ ہے کہ اس نے انسانی حقوق اور انصاف کی بات کی، اس طرح بنیادی طبی سہولت سے محروم رکھنا کہاں کا انصاف ہے؟
یہ یاد رکھنا چاہیے کہ ایک عام قیدی کو بھی صحت کی سہولت فراہم کرنا ریاست کی ذمہ داری ہوتی ہے۔ میری بہن تو ایک سیاسی کارکن ہیں، کسی پرتشدد جرم میں ملوث نہیں۔ انہیں اس طرح علاج سے محروم رکھنا اور مسلسل قید میں رکھنا کھلی انسانی حقوق کی پامالی ہے۔

𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗮𝘄𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗵 It has been almost one year since Dr. Mahrang, the organizer of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), and other BYC leaders have been illegally detained under fabricated FIRs. Despite the absence of any credible evidence, they continue to remain imprisoned. For the past six months, Dr. Mahrang’s health has severely deteriorated in jail. During this period, she repeatedly submitted applications to the jail superintendent requesting medical attention. However, her requests were ignored. Subsequently, her legal team filed an application before the court, after which she was examined by a jail doctor. The doctor recommended several medical tests, yet she was not taken to any hospital to undergo those examinations. On 18 February, her condition worsened significantly, compelling the jail authorities to shift her to Sheikh Zayed Hospital for medical evaluation. An MRI of her lumbar spine was conducted. The MRI report reveals: •Mild straightening of the lumbar spine, most likely due to muscular spasm. •Diffuse disc bulges at L4-L5 and L5-S1 levels causing anterior thecal sac indentation. •Mild to moderate bilateral neural foraminal narrowing with nerve root impingement. •A central annular tear at the L4-L5 level. Despite the seriousness of these findings, the police initially refused to provide the MRI report to Dr. Mahrang or her legal team and attempted to withhold it. After ten days of continuous pressure from her and her lawyers, the report was finally obtained. The medical findings clearly indicate a serious spinal condition, for which doctors have recommended rest and proper medical care. Instead of ensuring appropriate treatment, the court continues to deny her bail without valid legal grounds and insists on proceeding with a prolonged trial, despite the absence of any legitimate charges. Dr. Mahrang has committed no offense other than advocating for human rights and justice. Withholding medical care and restricting her liberty is unlawful and a serious breach of fundamental human rights. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee demands immediate medical treatment for Dr. Mahrang and calls for her release, along with all other unlawfully detained BYC leaders.
