Why is Red Bull Kumite the only major event (that I’m aware of) for SF6 that changes countries every year? Is it because it’s an invitational? I think it would be cool if we had a recurring major event that was hosted by different countries every year like the Olympics.

I feel bad for @fubarduck because with this EVO announcement, it becomes REALLY difficult to attend all these events now. (he's the only person who's been to every single EVO event)

There's a lot to digest with this announcement, but I'll start with the Fighting Game World Championship - I get the premise behind it, but I don't think this will work with today's #FGC and how you have to specialize in a game as a pro. It would have worked 15 years ago, though.

When you come to Vegas, don't destroy your wallet paying for drinks and snacks from your room's mini fridge. Go to CVS or Walgreens instead to load up

@jchensor I suppose it depends on where you work at. I can tell you that I use AI maybe 10-15% of the time, but it's not writing any code for me. It's more about assisting me about advanced problems and to help me fill out the description portion of my PRs 😅

I’ve thought a lot about returning back to coding to give myself a steady income. But this is the part that breaks me every time. My friends who are still coders say that, yeah, so much of it is now “babysitting” AI code and all the parts I loved are no longer part of the job. 🙁
