I’ve met Gary Dolphin a few times and he is a great and respectful man who loves the University of Iowa athletics. What Fran and Margaret McCaffery have done to him and to the beat reporters for Iowa sports is a disgrace. They were never out to get Fran but rather get answers for us fans. Shameful.

Reporter: What was your reason for pardoning Trevor Milton? Trump: I don't know him, but they say it was very unfair, and the thing that he did wrong was he was one of the first people that supported a gentleman named Donald Trump for president.

A man with no working truck convinced Wall Street he had built the next Tesla. His company hit $30 BILLION. All he did was push it down a hill with no engine. > Trevor Milton founded Nikola in 2014, named after the same inventor as Tesla. > The goal was to build hydrogen powered trucks that would make diesel obsolete. He had no trucks. > In 2018 he released a promotional video called Nikola One In Motion. It showed a sleek semi truck accelerating smoothly down an open highway. Investors went wild. > What nobody knew was that the truck had no engine, no fuel cell, and no propulsion system of any kind. > Milton's team towed it to the top of a hill, tilted the camera to hide the slope, and let it roll. > He spent the next four years doing the same thing with words. On podcasts, television and social media. > Investors were told Nikola could produce its own hydrogen. It could not. They were told the trucks were ready for production. They were not. They were told orders were flooding in. They weren't. > In June 2020 Nikola went public. Within days the company was worth $30 BILLION, more than Ford. > Milton's personal stake hit $7.3 BILLION overnight. > A $32.5 MILLION ranch in Utah followed. A record for the state at the time. > In September 2020 Hindenburg Research published a report calling Nikola "an intricate fraud" built on "an ocean of lies." Milton resigned within ten days. > A federal jury convicted him of securities fraud and wire fraud in 2022. Sentenced to four years in prison the following year. > He never went. He was free on $100 MILLION bail pending appeal. > He and his wife donated $3.2 MILLION to Donald Trump's 2024 campaign. > In March 2025 Trump gave him a full pardon. The pardon erased $168 MILLION in restitution to defrauded shareholders. > Nikola filed for bankruptcy the following month, leaving thousands of investors with nothing. The company never had a product. The only thing that was real was the $30 BILLION valuation, the $7 BILLION that landed in his pocket and the pardon that made sure none of it had to be returned.

Amazon spent $10 billion to put 200 satellites in orbit. Starlink has 10,000. And Amazon just landed Delta, JetBlue, and Airbus anyway. The antenna explains why. This thing is 58 inches long, 30 inches wide, and 2.6 inches tall. A phased array with no moving parts. Full-duplex, meaning 1 Gbps down and 400 Mbps up simultaneously. One antenna covers an entire commercial aircraft. Every seat, every class, gate to gate. Starlink's aviation antenna tops out at 220 Mbps. Amazon's does 1 Gbps. That's 4.5x the throughput from a company with 2% of the satellites. The engineering constraint most people miss: inflight wifi has always been limited by the antenna on the plane, not the constellation in the sky. Geostationary satellites had plenty of bandwidth. The bottleneck was a mechanical dish on the fuselage trying to track a signal while moving at 575 mph through turbulence and temperature swings. Amazon solved that with an electronically steered array. No gimbal, no motor, no maintenance. Install it in a day, forget about it for a decade. And here's where the business model becomes clear. The antenna connects directly to AWS. No public internet routing. Delta's operational data, crew communications, passenger streaming, real-time AI analytics from seatback to cloud with private network interconnect. Starlink sells you a wifi pipe. Amazon sells you infrastructure. United has 800 Starlink planes. IAG committed 500. Lufthansa committed 850. Collectively, thousands of aircraft locked into Starlink's ecosystem. Amazon looked at that and decided: we'll take fewer airlines but own the entire data layer underneath them. Delta's 500 planes running on AWS through Leo is worth more to Amazon than 5,000 planes on commodity wifi. The $10 billion on satellites was never the product. The antenna was the product. And the antenna is a trojan horse for AWS.

The SAVE Act is the single most important issue to 95% of Republican voters. If you can’t pass it with a majority in the House, the Senate, the Supreme Court and a Republican President, then somebody owns your ass, buddy. Who owns John Thune?

This is critical: 1. The SAVE act is overwhelmingly popular (84% across both parties) 2. The silent filibuster is a total abuse of Senate procedure, allowing 40 Senators to block the bill while literally sleeping 3. If Thune does not have the courage to at least require debate, then the SAVE Act will fail And if it fails now, the next time the senate flips, it is very likely that voter ID will be eliminated altogether This would result in a permanent one-party state.
