A couple of days ago, @benhabib6 called out @Nigel_Farage over the personal money taking of a billionaire reportedly living in Thailand. Most likely in exchange for political favours. Speaking with the excellent Paul Thorpe, Ben made it clear: if what he said was untrue, he fully expected Farage to sue him. So what happened? Farage says his lawyers are sending Ben a letter. A letter is not a lawsuit. A letter is not legal action. It is political theatre. If the claims were genuinely false, surely proceedings would already be underway. So to be clear - Nigel Farage is not suing Ben Habib. People can draw their own conclusions as to why – I think it is obvious. This is exactly the kind of murky political culture and sleaze the British public are sick of. Credit to Ben Habib for having the courage to call it out publicly.

Times columnist Fraser Nelson pointed out over the weekend that new Home Office statistics paint a striking picture: net migration has fallen dramatically since Labour entered government, now sitting around 80 per cent below the record highs reached under the Conservatives. And it is not just the headline figure shifting. Remove international students from the equation and long-term immigration levels are now “probably at a multi-year low”, Nelson wrote on his Substack — a remarkable turnaround after years of Tory chaos, broken promises and soaring numbers. The asylum backlog is also being rapidly reduced under Labour. After ballooning in the aftermath of Covid while successive Conservative ministers appeared paralysed and unwilling to grip the crisis, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has begun making serious progress in clearing the system. Away from the Westminster psychodrama and endless Reform stunts, an uncomfortable reality is emerging for Labour’s opponents: the Government may quietly be delivering results where the Tories failed for years. It looking increasingly like there’s a huge story about Farage just beneath the surface, of which we are now getting glimpses It involves Harborne’s gifts to Farage , and Harborne’s backing of REFORM , and how the massively loss making GB News became Farage TV Farage has , it appears, in effect put our democracy up for sale and Harborne has been doing the buying All while any regulator who might have intervened sat on their hands Farage - and his finances - simply a scandal in plain sight
Peter Jukes@peterjukes

BTW GB News insiders tell me this period in late 2023 is very important. That’s when the station went all in on Farage and starting getting rid of presenters and guests who challenged him

I'm absolutely flabbergasted at this. Calling pics of Starmer 'propaganda' like they were released by fucking Goebbles!!! And it turns out they weren't even released by the gov! The media bias is now on public display and totally out of control!
Supertanskiii@supertanskiii

What the FUCK? Sam Coates at Sky News warning the public that photos released by No 10, of Starmer, are “government propaganda” and “fake news”. He repeatedly tells people to NOT trust the photos. No broadcaster should show this level of overt bias. It is BEYOND fucked up.

Also done. This needs investigating and is the end of a long list of non-umpartial content from @SamCoatesSky @SkyNews must investigate his output and motivations.
Cherry@Cherryopenmind

Channel: Sky News Programme: Live News Coverage / @SamCoatesSky Date/Time: 12 May 2026 Nature of Complaint: I am writing to formally complain about the conduct and broadcast content featuring Sam Coates on Sky News. During the broadcast, Mr Coates made serious, unsubstantiated allegations, referring to official press photographs of the Prime Minister as 'govt propaganda' and 'fake news'. Key Points of Concern: • Accuracy and Verification: Mr Coates explicitly claimed the images came from No.10 and were 'fake news'. However, it was later clarified by Mark Austin on air that these were in fact PA (Press Association) photographs. This demonstrates a significant failure to verify facts before making inflammatory claims on a public service broadcast. • Professional Standards and Bias: The use of terms like 'fake news' and 'propaganda' to describe standard photojournalism, without factual basis, shows a clear lack of due impartiality and objectivity. • Public Trust: Such 'Trumpian' tactics and the refusal to offer a proper apology for these false claims, instead framing it as a 'correction of the truth', undermine the public's trust in broadcast journalism. Conclusion: This behaviour violates the Ofcom Broadcasting Code regarding accuracy and impartiality. I request that Ofcom investigates this instance of misinformation and the biased conduct displayed by Sam Coates, which falls far below the standards expected of a licensed UK broadcaster.

Sam Coates on @SkyNews at the moment, calling a government release of pictures of Keir doing his job at an event for apprenticeships, as "Government Propaganda" I will write to Offcom, he's quite deranged and unsuitable to be a journalist. He's gone mental #SackSamCoates

Sam Coates is utterly disgraceful. He should be sacked for lying to the public.
Supertanskiii@supertanskiii

@SamCoatesSky He was forced to admit that they were Associated Press photos minutes later, but the damage had been done. On what basis did you decide to initially refer to the photos as “government propaganda” and “fake news” while ardently warning the public not to trust them @samcoates ?

I am just asking questions here because surely the public have a right to transparency. How is it that Nigel Farage can have allegations and questions around a £5 million undeclared gift, whether it was really for personal security, donor influence, helicopter trips, who paid for them, private jet travel, Maldives trip costs, Clacton spending questions, local costs being put as national spending, 17 rule breaches, late declarations, over £2 million in outside interests, huge GB News money, paid Cameo videos, more Cameos than speeches, videos linked to a convicted far-right rioter, neo-Nazi-linked events, far-right slogans, antisemitic conspiracy references, misogynistic comments, calling Welsh people foreign speakers, and when he gets questioned he dodges and avoids, yet somehow the follow up never seems to come? No reporter really pushes. No one seems desperate to get to the truth. No proper investigation seems to go anywhere, not from the Electoral Commission, not from the police, not from any parliamentary body. Now we have Ben Habib in a video making more allegations about Farage and bribes, and still the MSM would rather talk about @ZackPolanski living on a boat and not paying council tax. Yet we pay Kemi’s council tax through expenses and that seems fine. I am not saying anything, I am just asking for transparency, because funny enough that is what they all claim to want when it is someone else. @BBCNews @SkyNews @itvnews @Channel4News @GBNEWS @UKLabour Funny what gets called a scandal and what gets quietly ignored.

@Nigel_Farage @peterjukes You didn't win a National Election. You won an ever decreasing number of local council seats. Responsible for bins and potholes. If he is wrong, off to court you go. Provide the evidence. That's all we want to see. Truth and transparency. We are waiting.

I know there’s a lot going on with the Labour Party, but it is all in the bounds of democratic politics. This however, paid collusion between the leaders of two political parties in the run up to election, if true, is a scandal of staggering propositions

🚨 Farage faces yet more questions, this time over flights in Reform donor's helicopter. A #DemocracyForSale exclusive (follow and subscribeif you don't already): Reform leader under pressure to "show the receipts" after our investigation finds undeclared election campaign flights on helicopter owned by party donor. By Peter Geoghegan (May 12, 2026). Nigel Farage arrived in style at Chelmsford race track last Friday. The Reform UK leader and his entourage stepped out of a helicopter to address the media following his party’s win in the Essex county council election. What Farage didn’t mention was that the helicopter he was travelling in is owned by one of the party’s donors. Now - following an investigation by Democracy for Sale that is also covered in today’s Guardian - the Reform leader is facing questions about why he did not declare his use of a donor’s helicopter to travel around Britain for multiple rallies over the past year. The helicopter Farage travelled in, which has the licence number G-NALC, is the property of a company owned by Lorenzo Zaccheo, a businessman who gave Reform £25,000 last year. When questioned about why Farage had not declared the travel, Reform said the flights had been paid for “at commercial rates” and there was “no undeclared registrable interest” arising from those flights. But the party did not respond to follow up questions about who paid for the flights and whether they were paid for by Farage himself, who may face an inquiry over an undeclared £5 million gift he was given by the crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne. Farage has said the donation was to cover his personal security. The helicopter’s movements were recorded in publicly available flight data. Our analysis found that G-NALC travelled to and from numerous locations on dates when Reform rallies were being held, including in Kent after last May’s local elections win. The questions about Farage’s helicopter use come after political opponents last week queried his claim that a return trip to the Maldives on a private jet linked to Harborne, the Thailand-based Reform megadonor, cost as little as £25,000 as the Reform leader attempted to reach the Chagos Islands. Reform did not reply to requests for comment. Anna Turley MP, chair of the Labour Party, said: “Nigel Farage has form on being less than transparent about the cost of flights. It looks like he massively under-declared the commercial cost of private jet trips to the Maldives donated by his billionaire backer Christopher Harborne.” “Now he expects us to take at face value, without providing a shred of evidence, an assertion that Reform paid full commercial rates for helicopter flights provided by another wealthy donor. “The parliamentary watchdog has already rapped Farage on SEVENTEEN counts of rule-breaking. If Nigel Farage wants the public to have confidence that this is all above board, Reform need to show the receipts and say who paid for these helicopter jollies.” The twin-engined Eurocopter at the centre of the latest questions was used in to travel to Birmingham on March 28 last year on the day Reform held a major campaign launch rally at Arena Birmingham, a favourite venue of the party. On the following day it travelled from Birmingham to Kent, which is where Zaccheo’s company, Alcaline Aviation, is based. The following day Farage was pictured speaking to the businessman at his company’s headquarters as Reform launched its campaign for the county council elections A month later, on May 2, Farage was photographed exiting the helicopter at an election party in Maidstone, Kent, after Reform swept to power in the county council. MPs have 28 days to register flights costing more than £300, which are not paid for personally or by public funds, in parliament’s Register of Members’ Financial Interests. When asked why Farage had not declared the flights, a Reform spokesperson said the questions “proceed from an incorrect premise”. democracyforsale.substack.com/p/farage-faces…

🚨 BREAKING: Ben Habib alleges that Nigel Farage & Boris Johnson were paid £1m each by Christopher Harborne to essentially rig the election in favour of Johnson. He also claims the undeclared £5m "gift" Farage received in 2024 from Harborne was payment for Farage to take over as party leader of Reform UK and stand in Clacton. - Harborne has paid Farage at least £6m personally. - Habib claims Harborne gave the Brexit Party £14m in total and attempted to break electoral law by hiding his identity so he could give more. - Reform UK have received over £22m from Harborne to date.
