Spoke to Chief Justice of India, Justice BR Gavai Ji. The attack on him earlier today in the Supreme Court premises has angered every Indian. There is no place for such reprehensible acts in our society. It is utterly condemnable. I appreciated the calm displayed by Justice Gavai in the face of such a situation. It highlights his commitment to values of justice and strengthening the spirit of our Constitution.

In Assam, there is a plethora of cases due to CAA & NRC. 26 lakh people don’t have an AADHAAR card, as their biometrics are blocked because the decision of Supreme Court is yet to be interpreted. This bench is unable to hear the plea, because the judges get pulled into Constitutional benches. My people are suffering because of this. Bengal CM ⁦@MamataOfficial⁩ solved the AADHAR card problem to ensure that no one is outside the web of social schemes & is secure. Assam gov. has not been able to release bio metrics of lacs blocked due to NRC. A NRC that is in a limbo - neither cancelled, nor notified.
