To a certain degree, I don’t get the media coverage of every Wawa that opens. Does the chain really need al the free advertising? And does local TV so religiously cover every local business that opens, or why many are closing? Not every Wawa needs its own story!

Probably worth remembering three things: (1) Wawa is basically a sleeker corner market, (2) D.C. is getting dozens of these, and (3) some are opening in spots that had been occupied by local businesses.
