Which programming languages are the most token efficient? With it looking like humans increasingly won't be writing code anywhere as often, wrote up some research I did looking at how many tokens each language (tends) to use.

The recording from the Dyad AI Modeling Challenge is now available. Watch as we build a quadcopter model from scratch, simulate windy conditions, and tune its control algorithm to evaluate stability—all through a live, agentic #modeling workflow. A practical look at real-time modeling and control experimentation with Dyad. youtube.com/live/toTNss-ok… #JuliaLang #Dyad #AgenticAI #SystemSimulation #DynamicSystems #ControlSystems #ModelBasedDesign #ScientificComputing

The clock is ticking! Are you still letting unpredictable equipment failure dictate your maintenance budget? Every minute of unplanned downtime costs you. This isn't a theory session. Join Dr. Ranjan Anantharaman in this technical deep dive to see exactly how you can implement a predictive strategy using State Estimators and Digital Twins with Dyad. We'll focus on the practical application of mathematical methods to: ✅ Identify system anomalies before they become costly failures. ✅ Move your team beyond reactive scrambling to confident, proactive maintenance. The future of system reliability is in real-time prediction. Secure your spot now and learn to protect your bottom line by guaranteeing system health! juliahub.com/events/fault-d… #julialang #DigitalTwin #PredictiveMaintenance #StateEstimation #Dyad #Engineering #webinar #simulation

why has nobody invented the social technology of “yes you can build a new high rise but it has to look like these older cooler buildings you’re replacing”

Here's the future of #JuliaLang tooling: "type on hover" in action from our next-gen language server: While still a WIP, I believe it will unlock a new level of developer experience, empowering users with static analysis without losing the interactive feel that is core to Julia.

JuliaHub is proud to partner with Binnies and Williams Grand Prix Technologies to bring scientific machine learning (SciML) to the UK water sector for the first time. This collaboration combines high-performance engineering, deep water sector expertise, and #AI built for real-world complexity. By integrating physics with AI, #SciML delivers accurate predictions—even when data is limited or incomplete—helping water companies move from reactive maintenance to predictive asset health. Already proven in motorsport and aerospace, SciML can make better use of the data utilities already have, reducing the need for expensive sensors or large-scale data cleanup. With successful pilots at Southern Water and Anglian Water, this partnership is setting a new standard for resilience, performance, and data-driven infrastructure in AMP8 and beyond. #JuliaLang #SciML #DigitalTwins #WaterTech #PredictiveMaintenance #EngineeringAI #AssetManagement #UK #Water #Innovation

I can’t believe it - after years of advocacy, exclusionary zoning has ended in Cambridge. We just passed the single most comprehensive rezoning in the US—legalizing multifamily housing up to 6 stories citywide in a Paris style Here’s the details 🧵

Ultimately there is no task that can serve as the Turing test because what makes people different from machines is the presence of independent will that can’t be co-opted to perform some preselected task.

@nomad421 @mhsatman @l_II_llI It's not really a battle; it's about making it work in applications where it makes sense, as you say. But I also think GC is unfairly vilified much of the time.

@mhsatman @l_II_llI @JeffBezanson Statically compiled is only a small part of the battle to compete with C++. I think another huge part is not having a runtime. I can't see GC'd languages (generically) competing in the C++ space; but sure for specific applications they could.
