I had a very disturbing, anti-Christmas encounter at Hardee’s this morning I placed my order for a large coffee and a super bacon biscuit. The teenage cashier handed me my coffee and food and cheerily said “Happy New Year, sir” as he rung up the total on the cash register “What the hell did you just say to me?” I asked. “I said Happy New Year, sir,” he replied. “Listen here,” I said. “This isn’t godless, communist Russia. This is America, so we say Merry Christmas. Do you want to try that again?” He just looked back at me silently with a confused look on his face.
