Most spiritually stuck believers are not stuck because they don’t care. They’re exhausted. They’ve tried harder, made promises, started Bible plans, and still feel dry. Jesus doesn’t call us to perform harder. He calls us to abide. New post: Abide Before You Burn Out jeffsosebee.com/abide-before-y…

You don’t have to feel spiritually strong to come back to Jesus. Come weak. Come tired. Come distracted. Come convicted. Come hungry. The invitation is not, “Fix yourself first.” It is, “Abide in Me.”

Spiritual drift usually doesn’t happen all at once. It’s a missed prayer here. A neglected Bible reading there. A quiet compromise. A busy week that turns into a busy season. But the way back can begin today. Not with perfection. With return.

Some believers don’t need a brand-new spiritual life. They need to rebuild the relationship they’ve neglected. Start small. Open the Word. Pray honestly. Confess what’s drifted. Take one step back toward Jesus. Abiding begins again with returning.

Most believers don’t wake up one day and decide to walk away from Jesus. They drift. A missed prayer here. A neglected Bible there. A little compromise. A lot of distraction. The way back usually isn’t dramatic. It starts by abiding again today.

@tyromper And when you’re full of Christ, you don’t have to be controlled by the reactions of others. Love anyway. Seek peace anyway. Speak truth anyway. Carry hope anyway. The fruit of the Spirit was never meant to be hidden just because the world is uncomfortable with it.

When you're full of LOVE, it annoys people that are full of HATE. When you're full of PEACE, it annoys people that are full of ANGST. When you're full of POSITIVE ENERGY, it annoys people that are full of negativity. When you're full of HOPE, it annoys people that are full of DREAD. A great side effect of being loving, peaceful, positive, & optimistic is negative doomers can't stand you!! Your circle becomes full of positive energy & people expecting great things!

@philipnation Lord, encourage Phillip today. Strengthen his love for preaching, teaching, leading, discipling, strategizing, and the missional work of the local church. Remind him his labor is not in vain. Keep his heart tender, his hands steady, and his eyes fixed on Christ.

On Memorial Day, we pause to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Freedom is never free. May God comfort the families who still feel that loss, and may we never take their sacrifice lightly.

Many want a Savior. Far fewer want a Lord. But the same Jesus who saves you also commands you. The cross reminds us that Christianity costs everything… and is worth it. #Discipleship #JesusChrist

The cross crushes pride. You cannot stand at Calvary and still believe you are basically good. The Son of God had to die for sin. That is the weight of it. #Gospel #Truth

@CoachDanGo I don’t think I’ve ever felt better mentally than when I was doing 45–60 minutes of Zone 2 cardio, 5–6 days a week. My focus was sharper, ideas came easier, and problem-solving felt almost effortless. There’s something powerful about steady, consistent movement.

We are called to holiness, not worldliness. A faith that looks no different from the world has forgotten the One who called us out of it.

The weight of the cross is not just what Jesus carried for us. It’s what we are called to carry because of Him. Dying to self is heavy. But there is freedom on the other side of surrender. #Jesus #Faith

The Puritans sometimes called it “divine desertion” or the “withdrawal of God’s sensible presence” — seasons where God seems distant, not to abandon us, but to deepen our faith and dependence on Him. What the flesh builds must be sustained by the flesh. What God builds bears lasting fruit.

Dry seasons can feel discouraging, but they are not proof that God has abandoned you. Often, they are preparation seasons. God uses them to deepen your character, strengthen your dependence on Him, and prepare you for the next part of your calling. The danger is that we become impatient and try to create our own mountaintop. We look for quick recognition, self-promotion, or validation that gives the appearance of success but lacks the foundation of God’s Spirit. What’s birthed by the flesh has to be sustained by the flesh. But what God builds carries grace, endurance, and lasting fruit. Don’t despise the quiet seasons. God may be doing His deepest work there. Follow this link for the full episode: tinyurl.com/sj2j4mjr

We love the crown, but avoid the cross. We want resurrection power without crucifixion. But Jesus said: “Take up your cross daily and follow Me.” The cross is not jewelry. It is surrender. #Christianity #Discipleship

@readswithravi One thing that helps me is the “5 minute rule.” Commit to cleaning, working out, studying, writing, whatever it is, for just 5 minutes. Most of the time, starting is the hardest part. Momentum usually takes over once you begin.
