Hey @HelloFreshAU just pulled yr driver out of a ditch. Unroadworthy van w bald tyres, head office told him to sort out replacement himself, no support. He was v stressed as he couldn’t afford insurance excess other drivers had been forced to pay. Horrific way to treat employees

I pride myself on my meticulous diary-keeping, so this mysterious entry is stressing me out. What is this? What is 'G'? My partner said "that's the kind of thing you'd write if you were planning an affair with someone called Graham" which has not helped 🤷🏼‍♀️

@farmingforever These farmers are critical to our local food system and vocal in their climate advocacy, and they’re now completely flooded and going to have a challenging road to rebuild - contributions to their go fund me appreciated! gofund.me/86dc30df

Some reflections as I start my last day of work with Open Food Network, on the role of the sacred dance in work and the need to sometimes go and lie down in the soft dewy grass of life to rest and dream linkedin.com/posts/sheridan…

They say don’t read the comments but I read the comments and learned how to make my Instagram bearable to use again, at least in the iPhone app: tap the Instagram logo in the top left to open a menu, then tap “Following”, et voila: Instagram is enjoyable again

@missrobinson I didn’t even take Latin and yet this phrase is still the one that would come to mind first if someone said they were learning Latin at school

I find it so funny that no-one ever bothered to write a new Latin textbook. My kids used the same textbook I used and their (even older) Latin teacher used. Apparently there are memes

@Kate_FitzGibbon Have you considered broadening your survey questions to be more inclusive and accurate? It seems counterproductive to have a survey about gender equality that reduces everything to a two-gender binary (other than the personal demographic questions)

It's not for profit. It's open source. It's a business. It's purpose-first. And women started it. In Australia 🙌 Open Food Network has been going for a decade and there are local incarnations of it all around the world. How to grow a food hub youtube.com/watch?v=g-Gjiv… @OpenFoodNet

@BelindaReeve I’d suggest getting it formally agreed in writing! A little of that wisdom is from the disappointing experience of someone going back on an informal digital posterity agreement, mere months after completion. A few years of web grey literature development, erased overnight 😕

@JenSheridan I love this idea: these are the exactly the issues we're facing as our project wraps up.

The @smh still has the capacity to (pleasantly) surprise. Great comments by @DrRachelCarey on our export-driven food supply, and why Australia can’t take food security for granted.

@1KarenWyld It took me a couple of weeks to adjust my typing (who knew I did so many inefficient workarounds!) but 5 years in I still love it (& the mouse) & wrist pain is gone. As I was learning to use it I tried to focus on learning good wrist position (ie as straight as poss) which helped

my keyboard broke, so I invested in an ergonomic 'arc' keyboard. (writer = sore wrists) The soft wrist pad is comfy, but OMG the typos I am creating! It's like relearning how to type, but without the nuns' ruler-slap. (Numbers are on a separate 'calculator', which is handy)

@slamup Could it be cold weather rather than the spices? I would have thought spices are fine. Or perhaps some other things they were loving that you’re not putting in as often with seasonal diet change? (Eg they seem to love breeding in avocado skins) wormsdownunder.com.au/worming-in-win…

Query 4 gardening nerds: everything on the internet says you can compost spices, but my compost bin (quite small) is usually ridiculously writhing w worms & ever since I started adding spices from tea (cardamom, ginger, black pepper etc) the worms halved. Is there a correlation?
