It appears that today is the last day of the UK Parliament's opportunity to block the EHRC's new 'Code of Practice'. Unless the government makes an eleventh-hour change of course, Britain moves one step closer to telling trans people that the spaces we've peacefully used for years are no longer ours. History shows that segregation is rarely introduced by saying a group is inferior. More often, it's justified as bringing "clarity", "order", or "protection" to society. Different rules for one minority are still different rules. In a way, it feels similar in parallel to "Separate, but Equal." History will only tell if that parallel is accurate. Regardless, I may be an American, but my heart goes out to my British brothers and sisters today. Stay strong 🏳️‍⚧️❤️

We also need to stop platforming frauds. Why are we letting a gastroenterologist with no formal background in gender healthcare speak for us on these subjects? Why is the community so bad at platforming anyone with real expertise?
