High throughput is not the bottleneck. Nicer UI and 5% more optimal dynamic scheduling is not the bottleneck. Natural language interface is not the bottleneck.
Running more complex, informative, decision-relevant experiments and generating net new data at scale is.

Excited to share that the FDA has granted Ashlins Pharmaceuticals a Pre-IND meeting to discuss the registrational development strategy for our AIS-001 program.

@AppleHelix We need considerably greater capital capacity. We just have so much regulation and capital intensity relative to market potential. Less attractive than tech on a risk adjusted basis.

I sincerely hope this will happen. Though a lot needs to change in order for this to happen.
The global pharmaceutical market (generics and branded) is about $1.8T. In the US is about $800B
$LLY, the $1T company has ~$80B sales or 12.5x rev multiple.
Let's be generous and apply 20x multiple, a $10T biotech would need to generate $1T revenue. This is unlikely. The key difference between Tech and Pharma is that drugs go off patent.
In a world where $10T bios exist, people would basically need to stop getting sick from technologies or therapies. You wipe out the value currently allocated to doctors, nurses, and hospitals.
But I admire @adamdraper's vision. I do find current Life Science VCs too risk-adversed.
Tech VCs are fighting to write seed checks. Life Science VCs are waiting for you to fund your way at least to DC.

7/ A great idea that I got from Spain. Spanish government has a clinical trial grant to incentivize PIs at academic hospitals to run more trials. The typical grant is up to 1.5m euros. But you have to apply in collaboration with a biotech. The grant goes to the PI/hospital and not to the biotech. Spain allocates close to 3B euros for this program per year. US should allocate $30B to something like this.

@martinmrmar I think a big issue was that a generation of hs students grew up thinking of the definite integral as “area under the curve”. Rather, that’s just one geometric interpretation. Thus, it required a leap in conceptual understanding when you got to line integrals/etc…

If you want to learn Calculus on your own but don't want to spend a ton of $... head over to your local thrift store like I did... You are bound to find a cheap copy of a Calculus textbook by Anton, Larson, Swokowski, Thomas, or Stewart. There are so many good ones! Crazy cheap.
