7/ A great idea that I got from Spain. Spanish government has a clinical trial grant to incentivize PIs at academic hospitals to run more trials. The typical grant is up to 1.5m euros. But you have to apply in collaboration with a biotech. The grant goes to the PI/hospital and not to the biotech. Spain allocates close to 3B euros for this program per year. US should allocate $30B to something like this.
