@FLOTUS Enough of the manufactured outrage. Kimmel made a joke. Kimmel had no idea there would be an assassination attempt against Trump, nor did Kimmel advocate for one. Kimmel could have been referring to McDonalds and Trump’s unhealthy diet as the cause of his demise. Enough!

Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America. People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate. A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him. Enough is enough.  It is time for ABC to take a stand.  How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community.

I am grateful to Pope Leo for saying this. While the media narrative constantly gins up conflict–and yes, real disagreements have happened and will happen–the reality is often much more complicated. Pope Leo preaches the gospel, as he should, and that will inevitably mean he offers his opinions on the moral issues of the day. The President–and the entire administration–work to apply those moral principles in a messy world. He will be in our prayers, and I hope that we'll be in his.

BREAKING: Iran reimposed restrictions on the Strait of Hormuz, reversing its decision to reopen the waterway after President Trump said the move would not end the blockade, according to The Associated Press. Iran’s joint military command said “control of the Strait of Hormuz has returned to its previous state … under strict management and control of the armed forces,” adding it will keep restrictions in place as long as the U.S. blocks Iranian ports.

@ericswalwell I support every one’s right to file civil & criminal complaints. However, I can’t help but notice the timing of sexual assault complaints against Swalwell. Swalwell has been an elected official & was an impeachment manager, yet no complaints filed until he ran for governor of CA.
