@MichaelTracey_ @ncstatestats Ahh ok. Yeah I think as long as we are consistently in the top 25 and able to make some deeper tournament runs periodically, I don’t think anyone’s going to get bent out of shape over 1 bad year every once in a while.

@Jeremydeaver @ncstatestats If there’s every a year Wade misses the tournament that will be worse than this year. Odds of that are higher if he’s here 10/15/20 years than if he’s only here a couple years

“This will be our worst team” talk was interesting. If true, it’ll be a short tenure, so hard to be good every year. Keatts/Gottfried improvements were minimal after year 1, that’s who they were. Wade did make large jumps year 1 to year 2 jumps at LSU, McNeese and Chatt

@joshwgoodson Fanbase is willing to give Wade a pass bc he’s succeeded at multiple programs (aside from LSU issues) AND he is willing to directly call out the issues and take blame. Keatts’ style was more of the traditional glass half full approach which doesn’t work during clearly bad seasons

@Jeremydeaver Yeah and I would blame a lot on it due to lack of funds and the lingering fbi stuff at the beginning. It’s an excuse but it’s a real excuse. And again it wasn’t without trying. Missed a bunch of none and done dudes that we prob get in NIL era

Absolutely zero to do with Keatts. Just amazing how one year ppl Mf’d a coach, with limited resources and called him “bad coach” And the next with a “better” coach and more resources, it’s a roster issue. Can’t be both! And reality is I like WW and glad he’s here.

@joshwgoodson For sure there were obstacles there. ACC looked a little different too. That said, ideal conditions aren’t what make great coaches and leaders. Great coaches & leaders adjust and adapt and I think that was the main issue the fanbase had with Keatts.

@Jeremydeaver Except the resume was still above Dayton. It’s not better to falsely claim how bad a team is when they were actually pretty good. Obviously it hurt the team down the stretch in their performance and perception

I fully believe this played a part in landing in Dayton. Your own coach saying you’d be “lucky” to make it there when you were a projected 7 seed at the time. Committee has no reason to give us any respect if our own coach isn’t. Wade needs to think hard about his messaging next year.

Thing that I really questioned this season -- do fans listen to their coach after games? Will Wade started worrying about the resume after the GT loss (video included). After the Miami loss, brought up GT and said "just hope we get to Dayton."

@bradfordcoombs Watch the video. One of the agents took Pretti’s gun and it discharged as he was walking away and some quick draw McGraw thought it was Pretti bc he had his hand on his holster where his gun was. No one fires 1 round if they think they’re being shot at. It was an accident
