Hakeem Jeffries called the Supreme Court an “illegitimate Supreme Court majority” right after their recent 6-3 ruling striking down a second majority-Black congressional district in Louisiana as an unconstitutional racial gerrymander. He said it undermines the Voting Rights Act and hurts communities of color from picking their candidates. Trump fired back on Truth Social, calling Jeffries a “low IQ individual” and asking why Republicans aren’t starting proceedings to have him expelled, comparing it to his own impeachments. Just to clarify, though—members of Congress can’t actually be impeached like a president; they can only be expelled by a two-thirds vote in their own chamber. Hakeem should be expelled for multiple reasons including inciting violence against President Trump.
