Millennials are the elite generation because they cranked out 12-page essays the night before they were due. No ChatGPT. No Claude. Just lo-fi beats playing in the background, Black coffee at midnight, footnotes that were somehow correct, and pure delusion. Grade was an A minus. Period.

When I was on the ISS for my nearly year long mission, there was a telomere experiment comparing my telomeres to my earth baseline and my twin brother as a control. Hypothesis was they would get damaged and worse due to the environment. Turns out they got better. Initially NASA thought maybe it was due to exercise and diet. After I returned we learned JAXA had a telomere experiment on some small worms the same time I was there. Their telomeres got better too. Never saw the worms doing any exercise. After further study determined it was the radiation.

for a while i've had a slight fear that the bluetooth from my airpods could be frying my brain this weekend i pulled the raw data from a $30m government study of 1,679 mice blasted with cell phone radiation and reanalyzed it what i found was...not what I expected? 🧵

@allie__voss There's a big difference between neurodivergance which has historically been a "disability" (but from personal experience is actually the opposite) and other distinct things like dyslexia which are objectively an unfortunately negative thing. This is hurtfully reductive rhetoric.

In other words, you attacked an unsuspecting "enemy ship" in international waters, thousands of nautical miles from the combat zone in the Middle East. We went through the whole "computer code isn't free speech" thing back in the mid 90s when they declared the RSA encryption algorithm a munition under ITAR. The community responded by printing t-shirts with one line of python (or perl) containing the algorithm; tons of people wore them. The shirt also pointed out that the code was a restricted munition and that you may be violating federal law just by looking at it. It's what led to the ruling that computer code is free speech. Perhaps it's time we start having t-shirts printed that contain a line of python that embeds the .stl data for a 3d-printed autosear, or a simple Glock lower.
