One alleged perpetrator, Angelo Loras was sentenced for an unrelated matter, the court ruled his actions were driven by mental illness.

You know the Talmud is available in its entirety online and for free right? And it’s translated into multiple languages. The English translation is straightforward. I’ve never been the type of person to take any man at his word, except Jesus himself. So yes, when I learned this, I went online and read the entire passages/conversations and they’re not difficult to understand. And if you don’t believe me, go look them up for yourself and if you have a different explanation based on the actual text then I would love to hear it. But the lame and disingenuous cop out “you need years to study and to understand” is an excuse. Because I can upload a dozen screenshots right now that I have saved to my phone and anyone with a fifth grade education will say it’s very obvious what the text says and means.

It is a record of rabbinical discussions about the Torah over several hundred years, with multiple often contradictory positions on any topic. No one can follow the Talmud any more than they could follow everything said in Congress.
