ये हैं हमारे पुराने मित्र मनीराम पूनिया। आजकल ये ज़हर मुक्त खेती करते हैं। पहले ये मेरे साथ पत्रकारिता कर चुके। मेरे साथ लॉ की शिक्षा ग्रहण कर चुके। मेरे साथ छात्र आंदोलनों में सक्रिय रहे। हमने किसान आंदोलनों में सक्रियता रखी। ये पूरी तरह मानवतावादी, अमनवादी और प्रकृतिवादी हैं। आज जैविक खेती करते हैं। पूरी तरह ज़हरमुक्त। जैविक खेती के माध्यम से ये चना, जौ, गेहूँ, मूँग, सरसों आदि तो उगाते ही हैं, सब्जियाँ भी उगाते हैं। पिछले साल इनकी दुर्घटना हो गई थी। लेकिन तीन ऑपरेशंस के बाद अब ये स्वस्थ होकर फिर खेती संभालने लगे हैं। जीवट के धनी मनीराम गुरबत के दिनों के मेरे साथी रहे हैं। ये दाल उगाते ही नहीं, बनाते भी कमाल हैं। गेहूँ उगाते ही नहीं, गेहूँ की बहुत कमाल और कोमल रोटियां बनाते हैं। पूनम जब कभी बीमार हो जाया करती थीं तो इन्होंने पूरे परिवार को ही नहीं, हमारे घर चलने वाले “भंडारे” में आने वाले दोस्तों को भी खूब खिलाया है और बड़े ही प्रेम से। खाना बनाने में भी आलस नहीं और फ़सल बोने से लेकर काटकर घर लाने और बाजार ले जाने में भी किसी प्रकार का आलस नहीं। ये बहुत क़माल इन्सान हैं। मुझे ख़ुशी है कि ये स्वस्थ होकर फिर से अपने काम पर हैं। शुभकामनाएँ।
