FYI: I have NO issue with ANY pedicab driver who operates an entirely legal business & doesn't interfere with mine. It's absolutely ridiculous to me that they're upset about not being able to operate *illegally* when no one is stopping them from operating legally!

@1010WINS @glennschuck Seriously, it's been going on for years: Pedicab drivers illegally park in front of horse carriages to run an illegal bait & switch scam to steal business from carriage drivers, then get violent & aggressive when they're called out on it!

@DinnerWed @NYPDCentralPark @NYCParks There is actually a portion of the administrative code about how horse carriage drivers have to "be of good character," but nothing like that for pedicab drivers.

@NYPDCentralPark This pedicab driver was illegally parked at Cherry Hill, accidentally pushed his pedicab into my carriage wheel, then came to my carriage later & said, "I'm going to bring my girlfriend to the park to slap you because I can't," but wouldn't repeat it. @NYPDCentralPark @NYCParks

Thankfully today @NYPDCentralPark was able to clear the pedicabs out of Cherry Hill making it scenic for all to enjoy again!...But only after they were called when a pedicab driver accidentally plowed his pedicab into a horse carriage wheel trying to navigate his way out.

@Cat_Victim @CentralParkNYC @NYCParks They apparently wanted to use what's on the bridle path by Tavern On The Green, but what they actually put around Cherry Hill is *not* it.

@JillAdamski @CentralParkNYC @NYCParks The crushed stone or gravel surfaces I am familiar with are solid and drain well. I don't know what the park did but there's competent and incompetent ways of doing everything.

Today @CentralParkNYC somehow made Cherry Hill even worse instead of properly paving the area! We will see more flooding, ice, dust, and potholes! What a @NYCParks disgrace! We need new Central Park management!

@Cat_Victim @CentralParkNYC @NYCParks The gravel & sand open deep potholes fast, flood a small lake after every rain which is ice in the winter, & turn into a dust bowl blowing in the wind when it's dry. The stone they had before the asphalt, asphalt/concrete, or the bridlepath footing would be a better solution.
