@NassauExec Why are you wasting donations people have given you on Mamdani? You aren't running against him. 🤬

At a City Hall Iftar, Zohran Mamdani defended a man detained by federal law enforcement. New York's Governor works with federal law enforcement every day. I do that. Zohran doesn't. I hired 600 law enforcement officers in Nassau County. Crime went down. As Governor, I'll do the same for all of New York.

@mcndjxlefnd @FiorellaIsabelM Universal Healthcare is a mirage. The countries who have it just have more pharmaceutical crap shoved down their throat. The way to do it is to drop out of the for profit western system. I did over 10 years ago.

@dylanypyen Is that a real question? Lol the city is being run by psychotic tech billionaires. They don't want anyone using their own private car.

We are in a fiscal crisis, the roads are a cratered mess of potholes, but we’re going to spend millions of dollars appeasing big tech companies and 2% of the population? Why?

This is a main route to the Lincoln tunnel. 2 lanes to tunnel will back up while a truck unloads = gridlock. DOT states that this design “requires a 20% reduction in all vehicles” incl. buses. But UberEats and DoorDash need more free ebike parking, so nothing else matters.

📢Big changes coming to Ninth Avenue! 9thAve in Midtown/Hell’s Kitchen will get wider sidewalks, a wider protected bike lane, and an extended bus lane to 50th St. This redesign will reduce sidewalk crowding, improve bus reliability and expand cycling infrastructure.

How to tell if you have a good critical thinking doctor: Ask them for their views on STATINS The first group of robotic protocol-following doctors will tell you how amazing the drug is, and how it “fixes” the cholesterol number The second group of doctors (albeit smaller) will give you a wry smile, kind of roll their eyes— and tell you the truth about actual risk reduction and number needed to treat

New York City lost 5,000 businesses last year and created only 27,000 jobs— compared to roughly 190,000 jobs annually in the prior four years. That's not acceptable. A strong economy is how we fund affordable housing, child care, and everything New Yorkers need.

And before everyone starts freaking out—remember, this is about the end of CRIMINAL tix against cyclists. Cops can still—and will still—write traffic tix to bike riders. A red light ticket will cost bike riders the same $190 as a car driver, despite the big difference in threat.
Streetsblog New York City@StreetsblogNYC

Starting March 27, NYPD will start treating cyclists the same as drivers by stopping the Adams-era practice of writing criminal summonses to cyclists for minor traffic offenses. @SophLebo reports at the Zohramp:

New safety data from @Waymo today: Compared to human drivers where Waymo operates, 170M miles of fully autonomous driving resulted in: - 92% fewer serious injury or worse crashes - 92% fewer injury crashes involving pedestrians - 85% fewer injury crashes involving cyclists - 83% fewer crashes resulting in any airbags deploying - 82% fewer crashes involving any injury at all At current scale, the data suggests Waymo is preventing 1 serious injury crash *every 8 days.*

Big news: @MTA & @GovKathyHochul today announced RFP from rail car manufacturers for the largest subway car contract in history. It would replace up to 2,390 cars on the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 trains. (That's more cars than the Chicago & Massachusetts Transit Authorities combined.)

I don’t remember anyone melting down when Eric Adams hosted iftars. Or Bill de Blasio. Or Bloomberg. But now it’s suddenly a crisis? NYC mayors have been doing this for YEARS. It’s called living in a diverse city. So what changed? Because it’s definitely not the tradition.

@jmcgrathgolf De Blasio held Ramadan recognition events at City Hall. Adams has done similar interfaith/Ramadan acknowledgments in government spaces as well. I'm all for separation of Church and State. Once it stops at the White House then the rest of the country can follow.
