I watched Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream” speech again today. What a dream indeed - that “We hold these truths to be self evident: that all men are created equal.” What wisdom / what a reminder of that wisdom. Thank you MLK.

My heart is breaking today over the humanitarian and diplomatic crisis taking place in Afghanistan. I’ve watched this evolve for weeks - I don’t know what solution our leaders were going for but this surely isn’t it. This is not a proud day for America - I am devastated.

I’ve decided that one of the most heart-warming things you can do is check in on your kids just before going to bed yourself. There’s a peace in that space that doesn’t exist elsewhere.
