Bush destroyed Clinton's economy. Obama fixed Bush's mess. Trump destroyed Obama's economy. Biden fixed Trump’s mess and now Trump has destroyed what Biden fixed. The biggest lie that Republicans have gotten away with is that they are better for the economy.

I’m glad General George Washington didn’t give up when he realized he didn’t have 60 votes in the yet-to-be-created U.S. Senate

With the DHS shutdown over, Senate Republicans learned a hard lesson on Democrat obstruction of border security and election integrity. Now the real choice: (A) Nuke the filibuster for core reforms — voter ID, proof of citizenship, and immigration enforcement — so the American people decide by majority vote. (B) Keep the status quo and hope Democrats don’t nuke it next time they’re in power and ram through their agenda permanently. Which option would you choose?

@BasedMikeLee Why do u do nothing but ask “us” questions. We can only vote Thune out of office, but we can’t right now. So the real question is what can u do, or all the other useless representatives Please tell everyone on here a real solution and get all the republicans to do it.

Because: Democrat Minority Leader John Thune: “We got the House, the Senate, and the White House. We have unified control of the government. That’s a rare thing; we want to maximize it, and it’s going to take every vote in the House.” The U.S. House of Representatives passed the SAVE America Act, S. 1383, by a 218–213 vote on February 11, 2026, at approximately 3:45 PM PST, and it has been sitting on Backstabber’s desk ever since.
Congressman John Rose@RepJohnRose

Leader Thune has yet to explain why he's blocking the SAVE America Act and why he is refusing to allow President Trump to make recess appointments.

Your question suggests five senators could oust him in the middle of his term as leader. That’s not true. In the House of Representatives, a tiny number of lawmakers can oust the speaker—at any time. That feature is unique to the House. In the Senate GOP we don’t even have a rule or procedure for replacing a leader in the middle of a two-year term. It is true that under our rules, any five senators can call for a meeting of the entire conference at any time. But in practice, that kind of meeting tends not to materialize unless a solid majority of the conference wants it to happen. Even if such a meeting were called and even if it actually materialized, it still wouldn’t end as you seem to assume. To pursue the outcome you’re suggesting, one would have to use that meeting to propose a new procedure for a mid-term leadership swap, and that—at a minimum—would require a majority of the conference to support it. For a whole host of reasons—including the fact that Senator Thune is beloved by colleagues and very popular within the conference—the odds of that happening are literally 0 in 100,000.

I’m tired of the Senate’s evergreen excuse for inaction: “We don’t have 60 votes.” There are ways around the 60-vote cloture standard. It’s time to start using them. And stop disingenuously characterizing any refusal to do so as virtuous or conservative. Share if you agree.

Don Bacon 🇺🇸 🥓 ✈️ 🏍️ ⭐️ 🎖️
The self proclaimed Chair of the NFC ran for the State Education Board in a district that was over 70% GOP and he lost to a Democrat by 2:1. He ran the worst race of any GOP candidate in NE in 2020. In Sarpy County I outperformed him by approximately 30%. But he loves giving advice.
Nebraska Freedom Coalition@NebraskaFreedom

🚨 Nebraska Republicans - enough is enough. 2024 proved it again: District 1 - Flood wins big at 60.1%. District 3 - Smith steamrolls at 80.4%. District 2 (Omaha metro)? Bacon barely holds on at 50.9% to Tony Vargas’s 49.1%. Margin of under 6,000 votes. We have lost this seat to Democrats before (Brad Ashford flipped it in 2014 and held it). And Democrats keep stealing that one electoral vote in presidential years - 2008, 2020, and 2024. Meanwhile, redistricting fights are raging across the country. It is only right that our Unicameral finally grows a spine, redraws these districts to protect Republicans, and switches to winner-take-all for the Electoral College like 48 other states. Redrawing District 2 to be safely Republican will finally shut the weak RINOs up about needing some “purple” candidate who “reaches across the aisle.” We do not want someone who compromises with Democrats - we want someone who fights for us, not across the aisle. We have the numbers. After 2024 we hold 33 Republicans to 14 Democrats plus 2 independents in the Unicameral - a clear supermajority that can break filibusters and pass whatever we want. So why the hell has it not happened? Because the factions cannot stop stabbing each other in the back: • Pillen crowd • Ricketts machine • Heineman leftovers They would rather fight each other than fight for Nebraska. Democrats? They vote in lockstep and keep flipping weak Republicans to their side. Exhibit A: Merv the Perv Riepe - the poster child for RINOs who reliably help Democrats kill conservative priorities (including winner-take-all attempts). Trump himself had to call him out. We had every tool after the 2024 wave to fix our maps and lock in winner-take-all. Instead we got more excuses and another stalled bill. Nebraska deserves better. Time to primary the weak ones who put faction over party. Time to demand the Unicameral actually leads instead of folding every time Democrats dangle a few votes. #NebraskaStrong #FixTheMaps #WinnerTakeAll #PrimaryTheRINOs #UnicameralFail #NoMorePurpleCandidates
