I'm not sure what the above poster is referring to but last year there was leaked audio on an FFA employee Shelton Snow promising answers to tests for becoming a pilot to minority candidates. Plus DEI was the policy so that necessarily means elevating minority ie black candidates.

Saying pay is based on how hard you work is a common and unfortunate misunderstanding of how any economy should and does function. Wage is based on how much someone is willing to pay, that is to say it's based on the demand. Sorry, but low skilled laborers aren't hard to come by, so they receive less pay. We shouldn't tell young workers the world owes them something because it doesn't. We should tell them they are rewarded for hard work, but also the reality that high in demand skills are what make money.

I fucking hate the “minimum wage is for high schoolers” talking point. A. No it isn’t, that’s historically inaccurate. B. Telling a kid to work hard and earn money the “right” way, then turning around and saying he deserves less just because of his age is bullshit. Pay should be based on performance. Nothing else. If you’re against raising the minimum wage, that’s fine. Make a better argument that isn’t belittling kids trying to work hard and earn something for themselves.
