This is the Minister who mid-wifed, negotiated and originally implemented the 2010 constitution that protects you today. If you reduce consumption of propaganda from Ruto and Raila, you'd realize we have real leaders for our taking. Her name is Martha Wangarí Karúa. @MarthaKarua

This Kenya of ours deserves its own Netflix category. Somewhere in Sigomere, a living legend woke up and chose wildlife accountability. Onyango, patron saint of “don’t try me”, spotted daughter of Eve in the act of swallowing his best friend, Bosco. Instead of screaming & launching Kihuti, Onyango decided to take matters into his own hands. Our boy tried to rescue his favorite mutina. Midway through the swallowing process, Onyango launched a rescue mission. Unfortunately, Bosco had already been processed like a government tender,,, ribs cracked, bones rearranged & soul ready for upload to Sayuni Cloud Storage. But did Onyango cry and move on? No. He arrested the mikora. My guy captured the python, tied it on his bicycle like a sack of unga, and pedaled majestically to the nearest police station with a live snake as exhibit A. Ile Kihuti afande watatoka akifika station, hujawai ona. Onyango amesema hataki ujinga ya Kasongo na hii serkali yake, haki Lazima itendeke. Now Onyango is demanding full compensation from KWS, claiming Bosco was His best friend, His night guard, His emotional support system, His alarm system & His therapist. He’s now calling upon kind-hearted lawyers for pro bono services, so that Bosco may finally receive posthumous justice and the snake may answer serious questions like “Why were you in Sigomere without an appointment? Did you carry your ID? Who authorized you to eat a domestic employee?” Ayaaam telling you Omwami, if laughter was electricity, Onyango would be powering the whole of Western Kenya by now. We are never short of drama in this country of ours. Kama kawa sisi walala hoii hatuna maoni, Letu Jicho tu.👀

They have gone from blocking the paths of the animals at Maasai Mara, to building concrete walls to stop them. Impunity!

Tanzania. U.S. Embassy Issues Urgent Alert as Tanzania Elections Spark Violence The U.S. Embassy in Tanzania has released a critical security notice as national presidential and parliamentary elections descend into chaos. Reports confirm country-wide demonstrations escalating into violence and roadblocks. Major arteries, including the primary route to Julius Nyerere International Airport, are shut down, stranding travelers and disrupting flights. A nationwide internet blackout has severed nearly all digital communication, complicating coordination and access to real-time information. U.S. Embassy advised Americans to - Avoid demonstrations. - Avoid crowds. - Keep a low profile. - Monitor local media for updates. - Be aware of your surroundings. If you are a foreigner in Tanzania, you should also do the same to stay safe.

The Scotland Meeting Just Changed Everything—And Nobody Saw This Coming Trump and von der Leyen announced a 15% tariff deal, but that was just the cover story. The real deal was never about tariffs. Since the media won't tell you, here's the real breakthrough... A Thread 🧵

🚨 LANDMARK RULING ON PARENTAL RIGHTS IN CHILD NAMING 🚨 In a compelling case recently argued by our Family Law Department—Milimani High Court MISC/E168/2024—the Court confronted a rarely-litigated but deeply personal question: Who has the right to name a child? The facts were simple yet significant. A mother, acting alone, gave their child a name—entirely excluding the father from the process. Feeling sidelined and seeking legal redress, the father brought the matter before the High Court. The Court, in a thoughtful and progressive ruling, emphasized the sanctity of joint parental responsibility and held: 🧾 “The issue of names and naming is a right generally bestowed upon the parents... [It] cannot be derogated or transferred to any third party unless otherwise shown.” 🧾 “The 1st Respondent, though the biological mother, cannot unilaterally take the initiative of naming the minor without the consent of the father.” This ruling affirms what many have long felt—that names are more than just labels. They are identity, heritage, and connection. Courts are now recognizing that naming a child should be a collaborative act—not a contested battlefield. 🔹 At F.M. Muteti & Co. Advocates, we continue to shape the evolving contours of family law in Kenya, one case at a time. #FamilyLaw #ParentalRights #ChildNaming #LegalMilestones #FMAdvocates #KenyaLaw #HighCourtRuling #SharedParenting #LegalUpdates #FathersRights

This morning The Peoples Liberation Party Leader the Hon Martha Karua assumed her role as our Convener as she brought us together to continue the work of liberating this country from the shackles of bad governance and corruption. As a team we understand where Kenyans want us to go and why, and what we need to do to get there. We are also quite clear on what our primary focus is, on the journey to get where we are going as a country.
