@JoePompliano What an idiot lol. Should have negotiated terms like 10% on the first 100m then 1-2% for earnings after.

Fernando Tatis Jr. has lost his lawsuit against Big League Advance. Tatis was paid $2 million as a minor leaguer in exchange for 10% of his future earnings. This was not a loan. If Tatis didn't make it to the big leagues, he didn't have to repay the $2 million. But Tatis did make it to the big leagues and later signed a 14-year, $340 million contract. That meant Tatis owed Big League Advance $34 million. Tatis had publicly praised Big League Advance, saying the $2 million allowed him to hire a personal trainer, upgrade his apartment, and eat better food. But after realizing he owed $34 million in exchange for $2 million, Tatis sued the company, alleging that they used predatory tactics to lure him into an investment deal that was really an illegal loan. The judge disagreed. The agreement was upheld this week and Tatis was even ordered to pay Big League Advance’s legal fees. This is a big deal because Big League Advance has signed deals with 700+ athletes, including Elly De La Cruz (MLB) and Nolan Smith (NFL), across MLB, NFL, and college sports (think: NIL). And now that the courts have ordered Fernando Tatis Jr. to follow through on the agreement, other potential legal challenges will likely go the same way.

You will pay into Social Security for 40 years. $9,000 a year. $360,000 total. Out of your paycheck. Not optional. Your return? Maybe $2,000 a month at retirement. That won’t cover rent in most American cities. Now imagine that same $360,000 invested in an index fund for 40 years. At a 7% average return? $1.8 million. Same money. Same 40 years. Completely different future. But you don’t get that choice. You fund a broken system whether you trust it or not. And then they wonder why younger generations have checked out.

The health consciousness stuff has gone massively overboard. People walking around with bands tracking their vital signs every second of the day like they’re astronauts on the ISS. Treating alcohol or sugar like it’ll kill them if they look at it. Tracking their sleep. Counting their steps. It’s possible to live a healthy life without being an obsessive, paranoid lunatic. You’re gonna die either way. In a few decades you’ll be just as dead as the rest of us, if not sooner. Relax a little and live your life while you still can.

I sat next to an adult couple on the plane who brought Nerds, M&Ms, Cheetos, & Slim Jims with them & drank regular Cokes when offered by the stewardess I was disgusted. They could have been freebasing heroin in front of me and I would not have held a lower opinion of them It was a 2.5 hr flight. God forbid they read or do something that doesn’t degrade their body or mind to kill the time

@EndlessDreamFi @pepemoonboy Risk is definitely to the downside in bitcoin. Wouldn't touch it here. I'm still holding some $gbtc from <$10, but that's it.

@21mattsmith1998 You got the right thought process. This has been in the works for weeks. Buy the rumor and sell the news.

@pepemoonboy I mean we've literally been on the craziest runs in history since strikes stopped as the market is always forward looking. I'm not bearish but I can't understand how the crazy rip wasnt pricing this in already. Probably green regardless Tuesday anyways.

@pepemoonboy That could actually mark the top. A rumored peace deal has been the works for weeks. Ever hear of "buy the rumor, sell the news"?

@pepemoonboy So many haters and doubters that want to doompost the world into oblivion because they don’t understand Trump. Both sides wants this war to end quickly, but Iran needs it to end more than the USA. Very few people actually understand how leverage works in negotiations.

@pepemoonboy @jksti The point is...if everyone thought like you (which you think they should), how would anything get done? We need people with the mindset your le "fascinated" about.

@jksti Talking down to? Brother what lol? Talking about the mindset of working until you’re 65 is not “talking down” to people. If this offends you, feel free to unfollow. I want winners in my corner, not people who are offended by this very simple message

It fascinates me how the average person doesn’t take the time to analyze how short life truly is. They spend their best years driving hundreds of hours in traffic to a depressing office, where they have to ask other adults for permission to take vacation with their families, while hoping that one day, when they’re 65 years old they can potentially retire. Do people not realize we are not guaranteed to live to 65 years old? Let alone 55, 45…or even 30? We have ONE life and the amount of time we have is a mystery. Nothing is guaranteed. Chase your dreams. Take risk. Spend time with your family and friends. Ask out that person you’ve had a crush on. Pray. Get in the best shape of your life. LIVE. I promise you will not regret doing any of these things when you are on your deathbed. Do what truly matters. Escape the matrix.

This is exactly why I plan to quit my job making $300k+. I want to spend as much time as I can with my family, while I’m young and healthy. I’ve made enough to where I can afford a full year of no income in order to spend more time with family. I will always be building and I have faith I can build a company, at whatever pace I desire, that will one day generate me more than my current job. I’m not guaranteed a certain amount of time on this earth…no one is. So I’m going to live like it.

@pepemoonboy Fascinating that those people make the world work if everybody lived the way you want to nothing would get done. Who would deliver your groceries? Who would build your house? Who would clean the streets? Those are the people you’re talking down to.

No one said anything was handed to you, but it’s impossible for everyone to live the quality of life that you’re going for so when you say you don’t understand why people go to offices and sit under fluorescent lights that’s what I’m saying there’s always going to be a huge percentage of the population that has to live like that for you to be able to live the way you want to.

My Boomer parents retired to Florida about 10 years ago. Sure enough my parents’ health is declining. Instead of moving back to the house they never sold, their solution is that I uproot my wife and kids and move to Florida. Why are they like this? 1/2

@GayBearRes As a long time Floridian, I would highly recommend it. Central Florida is one of the fastest growing MARS in the country and our beaches are top notch. And we don't have winter.
