This might be a lot for you to handle so take a seat and listen to this, Chad. Eagles GM Howie Roseman was able to trade a third-round pick for Jaelan Phillips in the first place because he knew that he had two additional third-round picks coming to him for Haason Reddick and Milton Williams. He traded one of those for Phillips, who had a good but not great half of a season in Philadelphia. Phillips was able to parlay that into a $30 million per year deal, which the Eagles were never going to match. Why? Because they knew that it would bring them ANOTHER compensatory third-round pick in 2027. Roseman added another compensatory pick to his treasure chest of assets. Now he was essentially able to cash that in, along with the compensatory pick that the Eagles received for the departure of Williams into a far more proven, Pro Bowl edge rusher in Jonathan Greenard. So this isn’t like a team is just throwing away their only third-round pick that is within the first 96 selections. The Eagles have these picks and this flexibility in the first place because of their ability to bring in players, maximize their skillsets and then let other teams overpay those players for their accomplishments in Philadelphia. It’s chess, not checkers. ♟️

Mike Vrabel missing Day 3 of the NFL Draft to take part in counseling is wild. The Patriots have 8 picks that day. EIGHT! There are hundreds of days in the offseason. You can make the case this is one of the 2 or 3 biggest for NE. Why choose Saturday to do it? Very odd.

@SethWalder Yeah yeah we know. In pick(s) for player trades, when was the last time your model favored the team that got the player over the team that got the picks? Not sure it's ever happened. Don't even need to read the articles anymore, they're always the same.

This is the one move of the Nats so far that has made absolutely no sense to me. Didn’t think McGarry would be some massive difference maker but the guy can pitch and it’s hard to convince me there wasn’t a role for him in this bullpen. Maybe even a starter eventually in 2026.

Initial Verdict: Best Titans uniforms in team history, best primary uniforms in the AFC South Pros: - Elite color scheme, that Titans Blue (Coast) is really sharp - The guitar-stripes design on the helmets & shoulders is unique & good-looking - Especially love it on the pants strip - Block font wasn’t a must, but always looks good - Wordmark font looks good, too - Logo looks nice on helmet - Like the balance of red Cons: - White facemask, wish it was red or even Titans Blue - Wish the helmet stripe was a bit thinner, not a negative tho
