@OfAthenry @WeaponOutfitter Maybe there’s something wrong with me but the few times I’ve been out there I much preferred it to Florida’s hot soup climate, and I’ve only ever been there in August when it’s hot as hell.

@SomeBitchIIKnow Try a bar of Fels Naptha, you can usually find it in the laundry detergent aisle for a couple bucks. I used it for something very similar and it worked well.

@SandyofCthulhu I don’t recall messing with the cheats too much after AoE1, but I used to love spawning in a squad of laser and nuke troopers when I was losing badly and just burning everything to the ground.

I promised this morning to explain the origins of Age of Empires' cheat units. So here goes!
First let's cover Age of Empires 1.
The most awesome cheat unit is probably Winsett's Z (black) AND Winsett's Z (white).
Scott Winsett (hi Scott!) was one of the two art leads we had at Ensemble Studios. Scott had a full life outside Ensemble and his beloved hobby was working on his car and (I assume) drag racing. So unsurprisingly his car made it into the game. Originally there was only his black car. Later, I believe unbeknownst to Scott, they added the white car which was actually better (higher rate of fire).
No I'm not going to GIVE you the cheat codes. Jeeze. What's an internet for?

Anyways we visited my sister in EP.
It's a 600 mile drive, about 9 hours following the speed limit with 0 stops.
It was 8 hours there with multiple stops to take pics
It was 7 hours to get back home with 3 longer stops.
Idk if you can count but that's a lot more than 30 seconds saved by driving 100+mph

Driving faster literally does not save time. I forget how the math works out but it’s because the difference between the speed limit and 10 or so mph over it is so negligible that you will not even make it 30 seconds earlier if you speed. You just make it more dangerous for the people around you. So stop it lol. I promise it isn’t the least bit worth it.
