Australia🇦🇺 has had one of the greatest euphoric property bubbles in history. Over the decades, incentives, low rates and more have fuelled the housing bubble to unprecedented levels. The masses thought rates were going to stay near zero forever .. now the chickens are coming home to roost. With a population of just 28 million spread across a vast land that dwarfs countries housing hundreds of millions on a fraction of the land and at far lower prices Australia sits under extreme vulnerability to a major property crash, the likes of which have never been seen before and that could last a decade. The 30-year bond has broken out of its large ascending triangle. This now activates the measured move, which sits at the 6.40% level. Mortgage rates at 8.5–9% are likely moving forward. This won’t end quietly. And the fake narrative of a housing shortage is about to flip to a glut of housing gripping Australia. This isn’t an isolated issue ... but global

I HATE AUSTRALIA’S INABILITY TO DO ANYTHING ANYMORE … This article on the failure to achieve a national gun buyback is a good example Yes, I know gun buybacks aren’t perfect, and aren’t a total answer. But they also have the potential to be a major win Yet, as a nation, we’ve fumbled that Australia’s answer to pretty much any attempt at change is the word ‘no’ Our naysaying abilities have been on the rise for a number of decades: · You can see that in housing – no, you can’t build that · You can see it in economic reform – no, there’d be some losers · You see it in the rise of regulation – no, you can’t do that · You can see it pretty much everywhere … I hate change. We all do. But a healthy society needs change to grow and adapt to new challenges and new opportunities Australia’s striking inability to change has already cost us lots: witness our stagnant living standards I worry that it could cost us much more in the years ahead
