@PlayStalgiaX Without fail, every gameplay clip of The Getaway has the player character drive like an absolute buffoon. Unsurprising, since the steering control is so touchy.

@_kevlar1 @thameswater Do the same to me. Send me a £350+ bill and no option to pay installments over 6 months. They keep calling me and emailing me telling me I need to pay it off and to do it in installments I need to provide proof I can’t pay it all at once. Total wankers - will pay in my own time

@HLTCO As a product it’s become unwatchable - aware our football is slow and turgid but there just seems to be no natural flow to a game whatsoever now. Players constantly looking to win a free kick anywhere on the pitch, 30 seconds to take a set piece, the over analysis of decisions…

I don’t know if it’s just the echo-chamber of my Twitter algorithm but it really does feel, this season in particular, as though a hell of a lot of people are falling out of love with the Premier League. Crucially not with football as a whole but with the Prem particularly.
Green Scouser@Green_Scouser

Does any neutral fan enjoy watching games of football anymore when their team isn't involved? I think the PL is at its lowest ever level in terms of entertainment. The nonsense during det pieces, poor standard of refereeing and too much play acting has made it unwatchable

@Green_Scouser @RickyMac81 I find it incredibly difficult to remain engaged even when my own team is playing. Players on both sides looking for the first opportunity to win a free kick - it’s diabolical

@HLTCO I think a lot of it also comes down to the relentless amount of football that there is - I definitely have more excitement at the start of the season, however this period after Christmas can often feel quite laborious unless it’s a massive game

I’m never sure if it’s just me getting older (quite possibly is) but it does feel as though football has lost a huge amount of the spontaneity and beauty which made it so joyful for me as a kid. Maybe that just happens to everyone eventually?
Football Heaven@footballheaven

🗣️ "It's not fun anymore. I think there's an increasing number of people who look at football and think 'I can't be bothered'. This is not the beautiful game any more." 🤔 Thoughts?

@nik0_mcr @DJHoly_Grail Surely the fact that there’s simply too much football is a consideration. The period over Christmas which were at the back end of is just relentless and with the CWC there’s been a continuous stream of matches 2/3 times a week for months on end.

Most successful football club in England in the last 15yrs. Somehow losing supporters. Is that the fault of the fanbase, or the club management?

@OllieHolt22 You say this, but fans still travel for the 12:30/8pm kick offs and they also choose to go and sit in that silly box. So who’s the real mugs?

A lot of broadcasters increasingly discern value in using fans to provide cheap content and yet treat them with undisguised contempt when it comes to kick-off times. Sticking them in a box in a studio, as Sky has taken to doing, feels like a symbol of their disdain.
James Pearce@JamesPearceLFC

Shouldn't be surprised given that the challenges for travelling fans never seem to be factored into these decisions, but 12.30pm KO for Brighton away is ridiculous.

Sorry to say but we have such a shit fanbase. If you’re going to the game I don’t see why you cannot come early to go to the protest. It’s not a big sacrifice at all.
Kieran Gill@kierangill_DM

At Stamford Bridge’s Britannia Gate for the Chelsea protest. Estimate up to 200 people after the 1pm start time. Could grow closer to KO, of course. Supporters singing Enzo Maresca’s name, which we didn’t hear too often while he was at #CFC

@DadTaxi1 @easyJet reduces congestion and funds a number of sustainable transport initiatives. It also plays a role in encouraging more passengers and staff to use public transport to reach the airport. Thanks, Grace

@Dannythefink correct me if I’m wrong, but I can’t see anywhere where the club stated that credit accumulated from the sale of season tickets could only be used to buy tickets of the clubs choosing? From memory, it could be used to purchase tickets for any game

Disappointing League Cup pricing for Arsenal fans at Chelsea. Arsenal have classed this as Category C (£31–£42), yet Chelsea are charging £55 (Category B) for away fans - without consultation with the Chelsea Supporters Trust. For context: Newcastle charge £20, City cap prices at £35 max. The League Cup was meant to be the affordable competition. This misses the mark.
