I know the last decade under the Trudeau-NDP was difficult and Albertans have every right to be frustrated. But thanks to the leadership of Albertans, the tide is finally turning in our favour. The vast majority of Trudeau’s ‘9 bad laws’ have been scrapped or reformed. Investment has begun flowing back into energy, tech, and agriculture, and we are creating more jobs than the rest of the country combined. Now is not the time to give up hope. Now is the time to double down and help Canada reach its incredible potential. With Alberta leading the way, we can turn Canada into one of the most strong and prosperous economies in the world. On October 19, I will be voting for Alberta to remain in Canada. I hope you will join me in doing so.

Today seems like a good day to repost this poll that was largely ignored by elected officials. How do I know? Because after one of the greatest government overreaches in modern Canadian history and years of restricting citizens’ rights and freedoms, many simply carried on as though nothing happened. How does one seriously claim to govern while ignoring a result where 78% of more than 70,000 respondents said they would leave Canada today if they could? And of note, the results were remarkably consistent across all platforms, including X, Instagram, and LinkedIn, with thousands more expressing the same sentiment. So when current and former elected officials speak as though they understand what the public needs, while ignoring the role they played in creating many of these problems, it becomes difficult to take them seriously. At some point, it becomes clear they are either no longer interested in representing the people they were elected to serve or simply not very good at the job. The people may not hold political power, but they still have their voices, and those voices deserve to be heard. And when the public speaks that clearly, the very least elected officials should do is listen. Pro tip: if governments stop listening, eventually the public will find other ways to make itself heard.

If you could leave Canada today and live in another county, would you? Please say why or why not in the comments.

@ABDanielleSmith @37mule We will never be free so long as Ottawa controls us. Independence is the only way. I will vote for a referendum on independence. I will do everything I can to convince others to do so as well. Then if we win I will vote to become a truly free and independent Republic!

@ABDanielleSmith I spent years working on Parliament Hill with the Reform Party to get a better deal for Alberta within Canada. Ottawa was already very corrupt in the 1990s and 30 years later it is much worse. Alberta's path to prosperity and freedom lies in our independence. It's time to go.

Trump: “I love Canada … But the United States can't subsidize a country for $200 billion a year … You have to run your own country. And to be honest with you, Canada only works as a state … I'm sorry, we have to do this.”

🔥 Pierre Poilievre just said what every law-abiding Canadian has been thinking for years. 🚨🚨🚨Self-defence isn’t a privilege — it’s a right.🚨🚨🚨 If someone breaks into your home, you should be able to use any force necessary, including lethal force, to protect your family and your property. No more second-guessing. No more worrying that the justice system will punish you instead of the criminal. Amend Section 34 of the Criminal Code so that force used against an illegal intruder is presumed justified. To the burglars and home invaders: ❌Don’t want to get hurt? ⛔️Don’t burglarize homes. This is common-sense leadership. This is the “Stand On Guard” principle Canada actually needs‼️ #Poilievre #SelfDefense #StandOnGuard #StopExtortion #LawAndOrder #CDNPoli
