@thephysicsgirl So happy to see you! It would be great just to see your smiling face again. You don’t need to dive right back into science, is there anything you’re excited to learn about or catch up on?

@Voultar Shit, man. I'm sorry you have this hanging over your head. I hope you can forge a path forward that grants you peace and foster a spark to focus on what matters most to you.

This has truly depressed the hell out of me. Everything that I've read indicates that having two copies of the Apoe4 gene is effectively a guarantee for alzheimer's by 65-70..

Very good value these days and the M5 Apple Vision Pro will be amazing. Still hate that they’re gouging people even worse on RAM than ever though. Do they design their own or license a design? If the former it’s literally just etching on silicon and they’re charging the same or more than ever. 😬

GoTEE opportunistic soft lockstep is pushed and documented in the wiki. #opportunistic-soft-lockstep" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/usbarmory/GoTE… Tested to catch faults on bare metal Go and Rust Trusted Applets. The bulk of its implementation is 20 LOCs thanks to the GoTEE abstraction and TamaGo! github.com/usbarmory/GoTE…

@AlizTheHax0r If I wasn’t already in the middle of a retro interface FPGA project already, I’d dive in on the hardware side as this seems like a worthy project

@JohnHedge I could always contribute to that (or fork it if my needs are different enough) to lessen the work.. hmmmm

I really want to make a device I can plug into an IDE host which will emulate a hard drive, pulling data over ethernet from an AoE server or the like. Trying really hard to resist taking on another project >.<

@JohnHedge Yeah, I understand that I can get cheap stuff on Aliexpress, but that’s part of why I was asking for a recommendation. I was looking for things that people have actually used at that price point but which they still think are good enough for my use case.

Does anyone have any recommendations for super cheap (<$30 each) low end Android phones that I could buy 20 of for our future Bluetooth class? Basically just needs to be able to run a Bluetooth app, and that’s it (so minimal storage/processing power needed.)

I’m writing a simple a Mach server and I want to only accept messages from a known pid+pidversion. But no matter what I set RetCode to, my client is seeing -308 server died, even tho the server process is still alive. Expected? No, I can’t use XPC for this, yes I’m using MIG.
