@WinningSystemCo Nah. For example the right guard doesn’t need to know who the read/conflict player is on an RPO. In certain situations/plays understanding the concept is good but not always.

Most coaches say they teach concepts. But then install looks like: • “Here’s the play” • “Here’s your job” • “Rep it again” That’s not teaching a concept. A concept is: • What are we attacking? • Who is in conflict? • Where is the stress? If your players can’t answer those… They’re memorizing — not learning.

@FixingEducation Not a great response by the teacher. If anything tell the student “I won’t have time this weekend but I will grade them.” You should know going into this profession that there are times when you’re going to have to work outside of contract hours.

In today’s day and age, I don’t see why a high school prospect wouldn’t be considering the Naval Academy. You don’t have to worry about coaches going to grab guys from the portal, you don’t have to worry about your teammates opting out on you, and you don’t have to deal with the egos that might arise because of NIL. Just a bunch of guys who play for the love of the game and for each other. It’s what college football is supposed to be about.
