@secmari1 @umuisgamer @WootingKB @plambob Let say P is press, R is release, | is activation. The normal flow will be P|RP|RP|RP. With this cheat, the flow becomes PR|PR|PR|PR. So time between activation is still P+R. That is what confuse me. Or there are more to consider?

After talking with cloutiful for a bit, he's admitted (and given me permission to pass on) that he cheated using the Wooting's DKS (Dynamic Keystroke) function to provide an unfair advantage in his tapping. More details can be found in the replies to this tweet

@secmari1 @umuisgamer @WootingKB @plambob New to osu. I just come across this in an old btmc video. I am still confused about why this is an advantage. Don't you still need to first press, then release the key? The finger is traveling the same distance.

@umuisgamer @WootingKB @plambob he set up his keyboard so the spring itself in the key does the tapping, and not his finger, resulting in one of the two keys being robotically consistent

@necrosofty Yup, I agree many factors are out of devs hands, and many blames should direct to management. But IGN video was made because devs, especially from AAA studios, saying this is should not be the new standard, blah blah blah. They basically drew the fire to themselves.
