@zeninternet refuse to offer technical support for LitFibre hardware after I was transferred (not my choice) from LitFibre to Zen. As a result I don't have working internet in my house, despite me still paying Zen every month for that LitFibre hardware.

OK thanks for making the UK invisible @UPS @UPS_UK . It seems it's impossible to change delivery date in the UK, because to change delivery date you need to enroll at UPS, and you can only enroll with a USA address... but my address is in the UK. Not really a global service...

@LeeLee_Loves @Butlins @EBeesmum After booking early January, in late February they sent an email with a "little update" which said the pool was closed. No refund of any kind. They just added an ice rink as compensation - no good for a 3 year old. It feels like the RyanAir of holidays - there's always a catch!

@Butlins what is the situation with three Skegness pool. It's complete tumbleweed from you. This web page says pool is closed, but is undated. Is this up to date? If so when is the pool closing? butlins.com/discover-butli…

@Butlins @EBeesmum There was zero update about the pool when I booked earlier this month for March. The pool is the number one reason for booking. Will it be fully open in March? Right now I feel like I've been hoodwinked. If you can't find a clear day I'll be in touch to get a full refund

@EBeesmum Hi Sarah, we’ll continue to update our website and app with any amendments to upcoming breaks, including updates on our pool in Skegness. Thanks for your continued patience.

@skdh Is the rate of change of each of those three variables three more pieces of information about the current state? Do the variables continue to change inside the EH or are they constant inside, only changing due to stuff crossing over from outside the EH?

The black hole information loss paradox really shouldn't be called that way. The word "information" in this context doesn't mean what most people (even in physics) thinks it means. All it means is that the process seems to be fundamentally irreversible: You cannot infer the initial state of stuff that formed the black hole from the final state. This paradox is closely linked to the "no hair theorem" which says that black holes are fully described by merely three quantities: their mass, angular momentum, and electric charge. This means regardless of what you form a black hole from, in the end you have only three numbers. These three numbers do not contain sufficiently many (beware) details to infer the initial state in its entirety. In this context, physicists often use the word "information" but it's not "information" in the sense that the word is often used specifically to, say, refer to the information content of a bit string or such. This is not what the word means here. It's a paradox because all other processes in nature are reversible in principle. Of course in reality there are many processes which we never see reverse (burning a book, breaking an egg, etc). But if our current laws of physics are correct, you could reverse them in principle, if you looked for all the particles and did a calculation to find out which places they were in originally etc. With a black hole you can't do that, not even in principle. Now, so long as a black hole is just sitting around it's not a huge problem because you might say, well, maybe the details are all inside and we just can't see them. But along came Stephen Hawking and showed that black holes don't keep sitting around eternally. They decay into random radiation whose properties are entirely determined by the same three variables that determine the black hole geometry. So, the details don't go into the radiation. At least they don't in Hawking's calculation. This means the process is fundamentally irreversible and in conflict with all other laws of nature, in particular quantum mechanics. To make a long story short, most physicists think there is something wrong with Hawking's calculation and all those details about what formed the black hole do go into the radiation. They just argue about how that's supposed to happen... Basically I think it would better be called the "Black hole irreversibility paradox" or maybe the "black hole hair loss paradox".

This is your information supplied this morning. Asking the guy at the station he clearly doesn't know why things are delayed but it's done combination of engineering works that aren't happening and strikes that aren't going ahead

@TLRailUK Ok @TLRailUK and for the benefit of anyone who might be traveling with you. Here is the announcement that you should have made: only a handful of trains are running from St Albans to London. They'll be rammed and a bit late.

@TLRailUK what is the situation with trains from St Albans today? No engineering works listed on the app or website. But trains starting TOMORROW on the app - but later today on line. Clarity quickly please!

@Deliveroo your app is hoodwinking me. The promise of "Free delivery over £x" is never fulfilled even when spend more and get the green note saying free delivery on the app. Checkout and - wham - full delivery fee. This is the sole reason I generally abandon Deliveroo orders...

Anyone on a first/second floor flat is on @tesco's naughty list this Christmas. (They long ago stopped bringing stuff upstairs but now forbid me carrying the crates aswell - only option is carrying up in large, unbalanced, handleless bags.) Perhaps I should use a rucksack?
