@SuperButterBuns Because nothing is faithfully being adapted. The reason live action Resident Evil movies have been terrible is because the source material is often ignored or altered. The animated RE movies follow the source material quite often. They're not perfect, but they're still good.

The Resident Evil fandom suddenly having a high adaptation standard is incredibly funny considering the previous films. Like here is a director with nothing but a good track record, but no, THIS one will be the worst for sure, they say
