@BobBark11503563 @NHLTradeAlert Would you give credit to Dubas for "negotiating" Spezza down to league minimum? Players aren't dumb. Vets at the end of their careers often take less to stay in a situation that suits them. How can you confidently say what Dubas "would have done"? More importantly, who cares?

Brad Treliving is out in Toronto. What would you consider his biggest move during his 3 seasons as GM? • Trading away Mitch Marner? • Acquiring Brandon Carlo for an eventual failed playoff run? • Adding Chris Tanev? Let’s hear what you think. #LeafsForever #NHL

@BobBark11503563 @NHLTradeAlert Knies was RFA and JT wasn't leaving. The deals are fine but any GM could have gotten those. OEL has been a positive signing but if that's the best example of what Tre brought to the table, that's pretty awful. He had some massive blunders.

@FriedgeHNIC @mikecommito They should have done this before the TDL. Hiring Treliving was a massive failure. Whoever comes next has a massive job ahead.

@TheTorontoSun The NDP is not a serious party. These people can't even be in public surrounded by their own supporters without being offended. It's a collection of non functioning people. Canada really needs to eliminate these fringe political parties and get to a two party system.

@ABDU___L1 @CNN You think Americans will flee to Canada to escape high taxes and endless regulations? Those are two of the major reasons Canadians leave for the US. Our entire government is based on extreme taxes and government red tape on literally everything.

@CNN Millions of Americans suddenly eligible for Canadian citizenship? Sounds like a timely escape hatch for anyone tired of high taxes, endless regulations, and political drama down south. Canada’s rolling out the welcome mat , wonder how many will actually pack up and go.

Since criteria for citizenship expanded with the passage of Bill C-3 of Canada's Citizenship Act, millions of Americans have become eligible to claim Canadian citizenship. The amendment reverses a "first-generation" limit imposed by Canada's Conservative government in 2009. cnn.it/3PE5aUW

@danielfoch What a joke. Those well off seniors have paid significantly more in taxes than they'll ever hope to recover in benefits. They earned and paid for their OAS. Start by cutting off those who have lived off the system their entire lives and have never contributed.

It feels like this could actually happen given how much credible attention it gets: “Canadians, including retirees, support trimming OAS for well-off seniors: poll Under the current rules, retired couples with incomes exceeding $180,000 may qualify for the full $18,000 annual benefit” I wonder if it gets protests like France’s changes to entitlements? nationalpost.com/news/canada/ca…

@globalnews @Bonsie1951 "but he's making deals all over the world" Wish he would. He hasn't got any concrete agreements that have shown any benefit to Canada. If he did we wouldn't have a cratering GDP, soaring food inflation and increasing unemployment levels.

@CTVNews It's time the media realizes that deportation and remigration isn't "Trump-like". Canadians want deportation. Americans want deportation. Europeans want deportation. This is a global issue and hundreds of millions of people are tired of being overrun with immigration.

@CheriDiNovo Making the food-billionaires crazy? This project will do more to help the "food-billionaires" than any amount of marketing or lobbying could. This will be a catastrophic failure and cost the city tens of millions trying to prove how great they are. There is no positive outcome

@sunlorrie @TorontoStar Can this be made retroactive to 2015 and remove every asylum seeker that has arrived since then? If they can afford to travel to Canada they are not refugees. Most are grifters looking to exploit our good nature. Get rid of all of them and start focusing on Canadians.

@CTVNews There are very few professions that actually benefit from post secondary education. Most skills can be developed faster through work experience than class room lectures. I would love to know how many graduates end up working in their fields for more than 10 years. I bet very few
