@OfAthenry I worked in Behavioral Health. PTSD is real and can be triggered by multiple trauma sources. It’s not just direct combat action. We had guys develop it because they had to carry wounded/dead all the time. Shit wears on you.

Yet everyone had rifles/shotguns in their truck at my high school and not a single shooting. Almost like it was never the guns. Wonder what we did different prior to the prevalence of mass shootings vs now. Couldn’t be as simple as a gun ban. We were more patriotic, we didn’t have as many people diagnosed with mental illness running around, we said the Pledge of Allegiance, praised God and we were tough on crime.

Rights don’t change over time. There will be acts of violence. We can’t make that zero without putting everyone in a cage. I’m not living in a cage. Being tougher on crime and executing violent offenders will be more effective deterrence than taking away everyone else’s rights because bad people do bad things.

Hey. So. The last Director admitted ATF has nearly a BILLION digitized gun records and pays extra to keep them from being searchable.
