Professing Christians who are offended by this are telling on themselves. Jesus is going to marry a formerly promiscuous Bride. Some of you are acting like you won’t be part of the wedding.
Trevor Sheatz@TrevorSheatz

My wife was formerly promiscuous. I was a virgin. She was then radically born-again. Committed to church, evangelized constantly, Puritan books in her bedroom, prayer journals, grief over past sexual sin, etc. We got to know each other well for over a year, dated for four months, engaged for two and a half, and didn't sin sexually with one another. Our first kiss with each other was at the altar on our wedding day (reaction pic attached!). We've been married for over five years now, and she's been the most wonderful and godly wife, mother to our three children, and homemaker you could imagine. She's more pure than most virgins, as biblical purity has less to with past sins (though they certainly matter) and more to do with one's current posture of the heart and daily decisions to honor the Lord (Matt. 5:8). We're far too quick to forget the story of the woman labeled as a known "sinner" (likely a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50 who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears while kissing them too. The Pharisees were shocked that Jesus let a public sinner do this. Jesus responded with a parable about debts being forgiven and ended with this powerful conclusion: "Her many sins have been forgiven; that’s why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little" (Luke 7:47). Everyone seems to highlight the benefits of virginity, and it certainly is a blessing. But we forget to highlight the benefits of being forgiven much as well. My wife knows the depths of Jesus' forgiveness more than most people, enabling her to more easily live out a life of passionate love for her Savior. A woman or man's past sexual sin matters. But what matters far more when it comes to deciding who to marry is if the person is truly born again, if their repentance is real, if they truly have a heart for Christ, if they truly follow Jesus and obey his commands. "God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one may boast in his presence. It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, — in order that, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" (1 Cor. 1:27-31) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (2 Cor. 5:17)

@Wa0Sir @SlowToWrite I do read the Bible. I don't worship the Bible as most Christians do. No. God is not a Book. God is the Truth. The Bible contains the Truth. But the Truth is God. Today Muslims are closer to God than Christians and they worship a Liar. Christians today use Christ to deny Truth.

I'm being forced to pay for my enemies to live a free life of luxury in my own country, and they are allowed to commit whatever crimes they want against me and my people and they will be let go and allowed to do it again and again. They are also given every opportunity even if they are completely incompetent while I am turned away regardless of my performance. If I talk about this, most of the population, including my own people, calls me Satan and tells me that I must be a lazy stupid loser with a tiny dick or else I would not complain. You are leaving us no choice but to fix the problem in whatever way we see fit.

@SocratesTheChad @LizzieMarbach No. We mark men off as damaged goods as well. They should marry one another. Those who throw proportionality out the window as an act of charity, also throw their own judgement out of the window. Which is also degenerate behavior. Why? What did you do in your past?

@LizzieMarbach Those people seem to only mark women off as damaged good. I suspect most of them have had sex at least once, or if they have not, it is only because no woman would do so. Had the opportunity presented itself, I suspect most of them would have partaken.

We can shame sin while simultaneously praising the redeeming nature of Christ. The two are not at odds. Unfortunately, it seems like our society cannot figure out how to walk and chew gum at the same time. We either tolerate all sin in the name of "love," or we mark people off as "damaged goods."

If Andrew Tate preys on women and lives a pagan sexual life, he's "sinning in the right direction" (cause boys will be boys), but if a born-again woman has sexual sin in her past, she's "damaged goods"? There's some deeply anti-woman ideology out there today, and it's vile.

@Brittanshorr @jr88030 @E_Gull_Hart @ostrachan This might be true if women were still bound to their natural duties. Birth-control has done away with all of that. The drug kingpin and the low level dealers are both morally reprehensible. Saved by God's grace sure. But expecting chaste men to marry former whores is retarded.

@jr88030 @E_Gull_Hart @ostrachan By that logic, she “sinned in the right direction” more than Tate. He wasn’t just promiscuous, he was acting as a pimp, which he admitted, and which is fundamentally different from simply having a high number of partners.

That Jesus was God and died for our Salvation. That in no way means that we throw judgement out the window with the laissez-faire 'God forgives and so should we, and only God can judge us' that most modern Christians do. More with the, 'We must exercise good judgement and practice penance to save our souls so that we may be forgiven.' I prefer Christianity pre-1960s... The Christians that built the greatest empire in the world and advanced human civilization for everyone, most of all their progeny. Not the Christianity of today that permits civilizational degeneracy and treats Jesus as a universal out for all sinners.

@megbasham Uhh oh... @megbasham what's your body count? Have a wild time in college did ya'? Birth control did not exist in biblical times, and it should be outlawed today. This level of degeneracy was far more consequential back then. Today it's just gonna cause civilization to collapse.

Did God make a mistake telling us the story of Rahab? Did he make a mistake including her in the messianic line? Did he risk teaching women that they can be promiscuous when they’re young because he’s gonna give them an out later?

Honestly? Born-again ex-sluts are the best wives. You get a woman with a lot of sexual experience (imagine the sex omg😳), but she's also wise now after repentance (can teach you a lot). So you get a virtuous wifey who makes your peepee go "Wowie!!!🤯" I envy this lucky bastard.

“Don’t share your spouses testimony” My husband came from an addicted and broken home…He learned a lot about drugs and started drinking and smoking at 12 years old. He was also left in an abandoned house with his sister for weeks at a time as an elementary age child. He was made fun of for being the dirty smelly kid, got in trouble a lot and had a lot of issues. …when he left the military he became a heroin addict on skid row in LA and went to jail for drugs plenty before going to 30 detoxes and rehabs up and down the state of CA… to no avail. Tried all the religions and false gods to call his higher power and they had NO power. THE ONE TRUE GOD JESUS CHRIST made him clean in an instant after he got on his knees and begged the Lord to make him clean and save him.. he felt the weight of his sin and the holiness of God and dropped to his knees…. His Bible opened right up to this verse 👇🏻 Mark 1:40-41 A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” He’s never used again…he’s patient and kind … a wonderful foster father and husband .. a man who submits to Christ. We will share our testimony as a one flesh union any time we can. He’s free to share mine and vice versa. The one thing he wouldn’t do as a man of God is shame anyone for their testimony because he has been forgiven much as has his wife! GLORY TO GOD.

Christian churches lose parishioners attempting to beat people over the head with the Bible. The Bible is not the Word, it contains the Word. God is the Word, The Word is the Truth, and the Devil is all the Lies. Servants of God beat people with the Truth. Truth is? Most men will refuse to marry whores. Not enough fathers taught their daughters that. They're too busy trying to teach their sons to marry whores than to solve the problem. It's why Christendom is dying. Today Muslims are closer to God than Christians, and they worship a Liar. Christians abandoned God in the 1960s.

To appreciate and even receive salvation, we need to understand our condemnation. Did Paul justify bad behavior when he recounted his own sins to show God’s mercy? “I thank him who has given me strength for this, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful by appointing me to his service, though I formerly blasphemed and persecuted and insulted him; but I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. And I am the foremost of sinners; but I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience for an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.” 1 Timothy 1:12-16 RSV
