Fellow Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu. Habaari. Greetings to all of you.
Of recent, I have noticed a lot of orwaari (noise, kelele), regarding the Sovereignty Bill. Which Sovereignty Bill is the rwaari about? The one I initiated in the Cabinet or another one? The Bill will stop FDIs (Foreign Direct Investments), support for religious bodies from abroad, Remittances from Ugandans working abroad, etc., etc. Really!! That is not the Bill I initiated.
Below is clarification on what I initiated.

Earlier, I paid respects to Mzee Anthony Ocwet and Mrs. Carollin Akullu Ocwet. Their family reflects part of our country’s difficult history in the 1960s and 1970s, when sectarian politics forced many resourceful Ugandans into exile. When we came into government, we worked to correct those mistakes. Indeed, when Joseph Ocwet was earlier blocked in Parliament over citizenship questions despite being appointed Ambassador to Ethiopia, we moved to clarify the law. He has since served Uganda with distinction.

Wow… what a chessboard this could be ♟️
What if this is all strategic?
What if Trump is dismantling the old system piece by piece… forcing a reset?
Closing the Strait of Hormuz would shake the world’s oil supply to its core 🌍
And suddenly… dependence shifts.
Back to American energy.
Back to American manufacturing.
Back to self-reliance.
While the rest of the world scrambles through the chaos, the U.S. fortifies, stabilizes, and stands on its own foundation 🇺🇸
It sounds wild… but also strangely calculated.
If this is the plan, it’s not checkers. It’s high-stakes, endgame chess.
I hope there’s truth to it::

Eighteen years ago, during a quiet visit far from concert halls and public attention, Andrea Bocelli happened upon two newborn twins — a boy and a girl — who had been abandoned outside a small community church. In that moment, he made a decision that had nothing to do with music, fame, or applause, and everything to do with human conscience and a father’s heart.
No cameras. No headlines. Just a still moment, two fragile lives… and Andrea chose not to turn away.
He ensured the babies were safe, immediately contacted the appropriate authorities, and then intentionally kept the entire incident private — allowing it to remain exactly what it was meant to be: an act of quiet humanity. No interviews. No statements. No attempt to attach his name to a moment that never belonged to him.
Until this week.
Because eighteen years later, those same twins appeared again in the most unexpected place — a graduation ceremony. Caps and gowns filled the hall, families packed the seats with pride and emotion… and then Andrea Bocelli stood between the young man and woman for a photograph, his hands resting gently on their shoulders, as if time itself had patiently waited for this moment to come full circle.
Witnesses say the atmosphere shifted.
Just before the photo was taken, the brother and sister leaned in and whispered something to him — words spoken softly, yet carrying immense weight, causing those nearby to fall into reverent silence. Whatever was said did not need to be heard aloud. It carried eighteen years of gratitude, survival, and lives allowed to unfold because someone once chose responsibility over indifference.
Andrea nodded quietly, emotion visible on his face. There was no speech. No performance. Just stillness — and presence.
Only afterward did the story begin to surface.
People close to Bocelli later confirmed that years earlier, while passing through the area on a low-key visit, he noticed movement near the church steps. Two newborn babies, wrapped tightly, left with nothing but chance. He did what felt necessary — not as a world-famous tenor, but as a human being — and then stepped away, believing the moment belonged to the children, not to him.
“He never spoke about it,” one longtime acquaintance shared. “He didn’t believe it was his story to tell.”
And it wasn’t.
The twins were adopted, raised, educated — their lives unfolding far from opera houses, red carpets, and standing ovations. They knew the man who helped save them not as a global musical icon, but as someone who showed up when it mattered most.
At graduation, they asked him to stand with them — not in front, not behind, but beside.
In a career defined by giving voice to beauty, sorrow, and hope, this story resonates precisely because of its silence. Andrea Bocelli has spent decades moving the world through song. Yet those closest to him say this quiet moment reflects who he has always been when no one is listening.
Some stories are not written in music.
Some legacies are not meant for the stage.
And some moments matter most precisely because they were never meant to be known at all.

Maama and I were happy to host our Bazzukulu at our Kisozi Farm earlier today, ahead of the Jazz with Jajja (Ranch Edition).
I showed them some of my herds, including Ekyigondo, which now stands at over 700 cows. These are the Encundwa. They belonged to my late mother, Kokundeka for making ghee.
It is important to preserve what our forefathers entrusted to us and pass it on to the next generation.
