I'm an Orthodox Christian. A husband. A father. A Southerner. An American. In order of importance.

Christ is Risen! Saint Tikhon’s Seminary and the Diocese of the Midwest of the Orthodox Church in America are humbled and excited to announce a bold and creative partnership intended to form and train a select cohort of qualified men for the Priesthood in the Chicagoland area over the next three years. The eye-opening stress test I keep asking people: what would it take to give your children the upbringing your father gave you? e.g. suburb, stay-at-home mom, 3 kids, 4-bedroom house, college tuition, all on a father's single income. Common, unremarkable middle-class American life as recently as the early 2000s. How many "successful" people who did everything right could replicate that today on a single-income?

Overheard two guys at my gym talking about Catholicism, and so I decided to jump in an drop Orthodox Catholic bomb 💣 turned into fun convo about church history haha

Question: Do you judge people for living in a trailer? 😅 My husband and I are thinking about buying some land and putting a double wide on it. But I'm not gonna lie... the stigma of living in a trailer is definitely in the back of my mind. I don't tend to care what people think for the most part, but this is something that gets me.

Don't lie, how old are you turning in 2026? Fucking 50! 😭
