@Velo_doc A certain investigation was just concluded and from what I’m finding out a parent (s) contacted many current and past players parents who didn’t have a good experience and passed the information along. Guess what the common theme with all boys were? They didn’t play. Shocker.

@Velo_doc @benny_thejet_30 We are directly impacted by the “DFW” coach departure . I am as upset with the soft parents/players as I am the administrators whose cowardice allows this nonsense.

@benny_thejet_30 I have specifics that I am not going to share But one at a historically top tier program in Houston just left recently And one in DFW who is literally a Team USA coach just left Both for the same reason - parents living in fantasyland thinking they run the show

If you are a parent trying to run a HS coach off for your kid not playing I got news for ya You are doing your kid a disservice, you are probably a bad person, and in the long run you’ll definitely find that out The stories I’m hearing from multiple HCs across DFW are baffling and some of yall need a reality check for dang sure Raising spoiled brats ain’t it yall

Would hope that folks turn out to let them know how completely incompetent they are when it comes to handling of investigations against coaches. And that hiding behind the excuse of “we hired an outside investigator” does not release them from their responsibility to act with appropriate urgency. What they are putting the Marcus baseball program through is an unmitigated disaster. I look forward to supporting anyone else in coming elections for their seats.

You would legitimately be stunned to find what the American government and politicians did that was overtly and explicitly Christian when our nation was founded. - The first English Bible ever printed in America was funded and commissioned by Congress. - One of Congress' first acts was to select and pay Christian ministers as chaplains - Congress designated the House chamber for weekly Christian worship services in the capital building - This was the prayer at the first Continent Congress: "The prayer at the first Continental Congress on September 7th 1774: O Lord our Heavenly Father, high and mighty King of kings, and Lord of lords, who dost from thy throne behold all the dwellers on earth and reignest with power supreme and uncontrolled over all the Kingdoms, Empires and Governments; look down in mercy, we beseech Thee, on these our American States, who have fled to Thee from the rod of the oppressor and thrown themselves on Thy gracious protection, desiring to be henceforth dependent only on Thee. To Thee have they appealed for the righteousness of their cause; to Thee do they now look up for that countenance and support, which Thou alone canst give. Take them, therefore, Heavenly Father, under thy nurturing care; give them wisdom in Council and valor in the field; Defeat the malicious designs of our cruel adversaries; Convince them of the unrighteousness of their Cause & if they persist in their sanguinary purposes, O! let the voice of Thine own unerring justice, sounding in their hearts, constrain them to drop the weapons of war from their unnerved hands in the day of battle! Be Thou present, O God of wisdom, and direct the councils of this honorable Assembly; enable them to settle things on the best and surest foundation. That the scene of blood may be speedily closed; that order, harmony and peace may be effectually restored, and truth and justice, religion and piety, prevail and flourish amongst Thy people. Preserve the health of their bodies and vigor of their minds; shower down on them and the millions they here represent, such temporal blessings as Thou seest expedient for them in this world, and crown them with everlasting glory in the world to come. All this we ask in the name and through the merits of Jesus Christ, Thy Son and our Savior. Amen." - Etc. It's not a departure from the original norm for the US government to openly treat Christianity as true; it has been a departure from the norm for the US government *not to* for the last ~80 years

@NathanJRobinson Hey Nathan, there are quite a few false claims in this piece, but two very easily correctable ones: I was fired in 2017, not 2018, and calling me The Silicon Valley War King is pretty dumb given that I hate Silicon Valley and live 400 miles away from it.

🔥 NEW: Fox News’ @Johnny_Joey speaks out directly to President Trump and Pete Hegseth on troops potentially going into Iran: “I’m personally very torn on this. I sat besides Pete Hegseth for years on the couch on Fox & Friends. I had a lot of conversations with him before he was confirmed as Secretary of War. I know what’s in his heart and in his experience.” “I’ve also watched President Trump for more than a decade who’s said ‘no new wars’, ‘no forever wars’ and backed that up. The track record is there. I don’t think he’s changed, I don’t think he’s owned Netanyahu. I do think there are complexities.” “I am going to say this: President Trump, Pete Hegseth, General Caine and the rest of the generals: if you send our men and women into that country to ki|| our bad guys, to spill their blood because they deserve it, I’m going to have to agree with you on it.” “Just please do this: Don’t nation build. Don’t win hearts and minds. Don’t spread democracy. Spill the blood without our hands tied and without a PR campaign and get the hell out of there. That’s all we have tolerance for. That’s all that will work.” “We won every battle in Iraq and Afghanistan - but we lost the war because our politicians don’t have a spine. Don’t be those people.”

We conducted a successful test launch of Aeon’s new shoulder-fired missile at our ranch in East Texas today. Huge credit to @naweed and the team for reaching this milestone in such a short time…an incredible effort. The system delivers over 90% cost savings compared to Javelin.

Gold Star wife here. When ISIS killed your wife, you supported going after the people responsible. You understood exactly why we were fighting and never called it “Israel’s war.” My husband, Alan, was killed by Iranian proxies in Iraq. And now, after decades, the fight is finally leading back to the number one state sponsor of terrorism in the world. You understood it when it was your loss. Now you’re minimizing it when it’s mine. You don’t get to redefine this war just because it’s not your grief anymore.
Joe Kent@joekent16jan19

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

@TLeathers25 @TwoFiveBaseball 6A baseball. Final four team let year. Not at all suggesting it’s the norm. But they have asked for permission to join as family so they can see the stats. Agree at younger age it leads to “issues”.

@TLeathers25 @TwoFiveBaseball Multiple colleges have asked multiple kids for access to their GC just this season. The idea that college does not care if a kid hits .150 or .350 is stupid. Of course they care. Do they care it .350 is really .290? No.

I’ve been working terrorism issues since college, decades now, and I’ve never seen the level of terrorism sympathizing and outright Islamist rhetoric that exists right now in this country. Not even close. Muslim friends of mine overseas are constantly messaging me telling me to stay away from this location or that location in my own backyard because they are hearing about plotting. This is separate from the massive homeland plotting being directed by Al-Qaeda. Yet many people want to put counterterrorism in the rearview mirror as if the threat somehow disappeared. It didn’t. Not with more than 18,000 Islamist extremists currently on U.S. soil. Pretending the problem is over does not make it go away. It just guarantees we will stay unprepared in a fight that has never actually ended. The days of burying our heads in the sand as a nation are over. We should not have to wait for the next 9/11 to fix a failing counterterrorism posture inside the United States. To be honest, the FBI has not been reformed in a way that meets the scale of the threat we face. What exists now is not good enough for the battles in front of us as a nation. This is a watershed moment whether people recognize it yet or not. We have two decades of warfighters, intelligence professionals, and practitioners here in the United States who understand this enemy better than anyone. If the institutions responsible will not adapt, then it is time something changes. Because ignoring the threat will not stop it. It will only ensure the cost is far greater when reality finally catches up.
