Surprisingly, it was my first time visiting Duke campus today. The chapel is every bit as lovely as the pictures I’ve seen. I’ve enjoyed being shown around by a dear friend and alumna, and reading and writing in the David M. Rubenstein Rare Book and Manuscript Library.

@LauraRbnsn even though BP is going to come down to Sinners and OBAA, curious where you think the cutoff is for the more legit contenders. I think I've settled that I think theres a significant drop-off after Sinners, OBAA, MS, Hamnet, and SV. I've waffled on how much I liked Secret Agent

@rocco_botte In NC, phones aren't really a problem. But at AMCs there's often been projection issues. And when I saw Weapons at a regal I could hear guitar music blasting from an adjacent theatre the whole time. Never had an issue at alamo drafthouse but that's only in raleigh

lol there is one specific singular problem that literally all my friends talk about that is THE major factor in avoiding theaters and these chains do nothing about it lmao

I remember when Christopher Nolan received criticism for taking a stand on Warner Bros’ day and date streaming approach during Covid. Nolan was clearly thinking long term and looking back on it his stance was fairly prescient.
